Will Smith Plans to Release His First Book This Year; It’s Already a Best Seller
Will Smith is adding a book to his list of impressive contributions to the world.
The 52-year-old accomplished actor shared on social media and his website the cover and title of his upcoming memoir on Saturday. His first ever book, Will, will be published by Penguin Press on Tuesday, November 9th.
The book is currently available for preorder around the world, according to Smith’s website. With an Instagram following of over 54 million and a list of supportive fans arounds the world, the book has already garnered a lot of attention. In fact, it’s already listed as a #1 Best Seller in the Actor & Entertainer Biographies category on Amazon.
“It’s been a labor of love,” Smith said in a video posted on Instagram. “I’ve been working on it for the past two years and it is finally ready.”

In WILL, Smith will share his journey from his childhood in Philadelphia to his rise as one of the most remarkable entertainment moguls in the modern era. He’s been a household name since the 1990s, starring on The Fresh Prince of Bel–Air and making his way on the movie scene in hit films like Bad Boys (1995) and Men in Black (1997). Over the last three decades, Will Smith has had a thriving movie career with multiple Oscar nominations and Grammy wins. Now, he’s taking the world behind the scenes and sharing the evolution of his life over time.
The memoir will be an “inspirational tale of how his true self-knowledge helped to propel him to extraordinary success, and then evolve further to a place of deeper peace – with himself, his loved ones, and the world,” according to a Penguin Random House press release posted in October 2018.
Will Smith teamed up with Mark Manson to bring his personal story to life. Manson is the bestselling author of The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F-K. His collection of books have sold over 14 million copies worldwide, according to his website.
