Zimmerman Attorney’s Request To Delay June Trial


The case against George Zimmerman is set to go to trial in June. His lawyers are requesting more time to prepare however, citing the prosecutions delay in turning over evidence.

The move seems to coincide with the defense’s request for Zimmerman supporters to help provide more money for his trial. The lead attorney for Zimmerman, Mark O’Mara, believes that the cost for the trial can run up to $1 million. The money that was previously raised, a total of $314,000, has dwindled significantly. It has covered Zimmerman’s bail, living expenses, and security.
