Let’s call it a comeback–and a strong one at that. BlackEnterprise.com caught up with actress and former First Lady of Turks & Caicos LisaRaye McCoy, who dishes on her determination to succeed at doing what she loves — acting and entertaining.
In this extended interview, McCoy tells of her fight to regain the spotlight after taking a break from show business and picking up the pieces following a highly publicized and scandalous divorce. With a smile and wit as crisp as her signature white ensembles, the actress details her return for a second season of TV One’s LisaRaye: The Real McCoy, the network’s highest-rated show, (debuting in April), and to sitcom TV in VH1’s first scripted series, Single Ladies, which will debut in May.
“I am every woman, I am superwoman, I am all of that, as all of us are,” McCoy says. “And I want to be that person to say, ‘Hey, me too, you too, we too.”
