  4. Joan C. says:

It would be great if more care and research was done before this list was put together. I would not show a young person this, because it would be misleading. Also, it would not put things in proper context and serve as a teaching tool for us in society who struggle with daily issues that plague our families and communities.

COMEBACK defined (See Merriam Webster dictionary):

    1
    a : a sharp or witty reply : RETORT b : a cause for complaint

    2
: a return to a former position or condition (as of success or prosperity) : RECOVERY, REVIVAL

I am very disappointed that you did not properly provide insight, education and motivation to your readers. There are only four (4) people from your list that could have been called “comebacks:”

    1. DESIREE ROGERS
    2. VANESSA WILLIAMS
    3. MICHAEL VICK
    4. El DeBARGE

TED WILLIAMS’ “comeback” remains to be seen as he is in drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility on the West Coast. It was documented that he went on a binge during his trips and appearances in the one (1) week there was a media surrounding his YouTube fame & media frenzy. Dr. Phil McGraw has stepped in to help him, or did you miss this part.

The other folks on your lists experiences would be defined as TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY through PERSERVERANCE:

    1. JUDGE GREG MATHIS
    2. VICKIE STRINGER
    3. CHRIS GARDNER
    4. TONY DUNGY

MARION JONES is in a category on to herself, because only time will tell what will happen. She will never be able to recover her medals and/or standing in the Olympics and/or Sports for that matter.
