How I Did It: Teen Vogue Accessories Director Talks Career Success

Sometimes a great career path isn’t a straight one, but one with many exciting curves and stops along the way. Teen Vogue accessories director Shiona Turini worked her way up through the ranks of fashion by way of public relations, getting her start as an intern at Yves Saint Laurent before becoming a PR assistant at the luxury brand. A chance opportunity would take her to W Magazine and then on to her current post, where she is in charge of all that is fabulous in the accessories market, a position she never thought she’d consider but one she enjoys.

The Fashion Bomb talked with the stylish Bermuda native and Hampton University graduate on how she rose through the ranks, how hard work and ingenuity go a long way, and how interns can stretch a penny while climbing the career ladder.
