A Doctor Says Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s 3 Showers A Day Routine Can Be Overkill for Others

So there’s a debate going on within weird Hollywood surrounding whether or not people bathe their kids every day.

Leave it up to Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson to interject himself into the conversation and reveal his extreme routine of three showers a day in between workouts.

“Nope, I’m the opposite of a “not washing themselves” celeb,” the Jungle Cruise star said. “Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work. Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower.”

His tweet was in response to stars like Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Kristen Bell who admitted to not bathing their children on a daily basis. Bell went as far as admitting that she herself doesn’t even bathe every day.

While The Rock was commended for at least practicing good hygiene, primary care doctor Jaydeep Tripathy warned people against following in The Rock’s footsteps.

“Taking a bath or shower can remove the healthy oils on your skin and hair, not to mention the good bacteria that keep your skin microbiome healthy,” Tripathy told Insider.

“Unless you are dirty or sweaty, you won’t need to bathe more than once a day,” he said. “In fact, if you’re living in an area where the weather and temperature do not make you sweaty and sticky, you might not need to take a bath every day.”

Amid the hygiene debate, it’s still too hot outside not to hop in the shower. Be kind and wash your behind.
