Amazon Driver Terminated After Allegedly Attempting To Steal Red-Nosed Pitbull Puppy

“As I open the door to put the package in the house, and the dog food, my daughter screams and says, ‘The Amazon guy stole our puppy.’”

An Amazon driver has lost his job because he allegedly attempted to steal a family’s pet while making a delivery

According to WSB-TV, an Amazon driver dropped off a package at Terrika Currence’s house in Henry County, GA., and picked up their puppy. The driver was unable to complete the “trade” as Currence said she ran after him to retrieve her family dog after he had placed it in the van.

“As I open the door to put the package in the house, and the dog food, my daughter screams and says, ‘The Amazon guy stole our puppy,’” she said. After her daughter informed her of the attempted theft, Currence rushed outside to get her red-nosed pit bull. She took her camera with her and recorded the incident.

“As soon as I opened the truck, he had the puppy inside of a bin,” she recalled. ” I had to grab the puppy and get him off the truck.”

“[Expletive] Amazon done took my [expletive] dog out my [expletive] yard,” she can be heard saying in the video. Currence can also be seen opening the doors to the back of the Amazon truck and shouting at him. Currence said the driver offered no explanation for the why the dog was in the truck.

She phoned the police and contacted Amazon. A company spokesperson told WSB-TV that the driver is no longer employed by Amazon and that it is assisting law enforcement. “We’ve apologized to the customer and are glad their dog was returned unharmed,” the spokesperson added.

“It gives me relief that he’s fired, but if he’s doing things like that, I’m sure, you know, it’s in his character,” Currence said. “He’ll do it again.”

Police officials are investigating the incident.
