Atlanta Mayor ‘Not Afraid of the City Being Sued’ After Georgia Governor Files Lawsuit Over Face Mask Mandate

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is suing Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to stop the city from enforcing a mandate requiring people to wear a face mask in public to stem the rising spread of the coronavirus, according to The Huffington Post.

The Georgia governor explained why he is suing Bottoms in a Twitter post.

Bottoms, who has chastised Atlanta residents for being reckless in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic is not backing down in her quest to protect the people of Atlanta.

Bottoms added that she is “not afraid of the city being sued” and “I’ll put our policies up against anyone’s any day of the week.”
