  • Bishop Eddie Long Requests Money Back from Accusers

 

Attorneys representing Georgia’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church–Eddie Long‘s parish– are seeking to recoup close to $1 million in settlement money from three of the five young men who accused the pastor of sexual coercion. Jamal Parris, Spencer LeGrande and Centino Kemp received letters last week from Drew Eckl & Farnham, LLP, alleging that the ex-parishioners violated the confidentiality terms outlined in the settlement agreement with Long and the megachurch.

  • Obama Calls Out GOP Leader on Jobs Bill Vote

President Barack Obama is calling it like he sees it.

The commander in chief used an economic sales pitch in Texas to blast House Majority Leader Eric Cantor for refusing to take up his jobs bill.

“Eric Cantor said that right now, he won’t even let this jobs bill have a vote in the House of Representatives. That’s what he said. Won’t let it be debated,” Obama said in a speech at a community college in Mesquite, a Dallas suburb. ”

  • iPhone Coming to Sprint

Apple announced on Tuesday Sprint will begin carrying the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S starting Oct. 14.  This makes Sprint the third U.S. wireless carrier to offer Apple’s flagship device.
