Charges Against T.I. and Tiny In Sexual Assault Case Dismissed In Los Angeles

Earlier this year, after multiple allegations were levied against reality TV couple, rapper T.I. and his singing wife, Tiny Harris pertaining to alleged sexual assaults, the Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation into them.

On Thursday, a Los Angeles judge declined to hear a case that involved a woman who accused the celebrity couple of sexually assaulting her in 2005 stating that the statute of limitations has expired.

According to TMZ, T.I. and Tiny will not be facing a trial for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in Los Angeles back in 2005. Documents were obtained that stated that prosecutors decided not to charge the couple because the case falls outside the statute of limitations. The 10-year statute of limitations has expired.

The accuser had originally filed a police report earlier this year that alleged that T.I. and Tiny drugged the accuser and assaulted her sometime early in 2005 after they met her at a club.

Back in May, Steve Sadow, an attorney for the couple, maintained their innocence considering the Harrises don’t know who the women are who made the accusations.

“Even assuming the story in the Daily Beast is close to accurate, it appears the LAPD ‘accuser’ has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations — or even examine them,” the statement from the attorney said. “Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an ‘accuser’ who supposedly filed a police report with LAPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim.”

A woman who says she met the couple at a Los Angeles nightclub and had accepted a sip of Tiny’s drink. She recalled the couple inviting her back to their hotel room where the three allegedly showered together. The woman says she fell ill while T.I.  performed a sexual act on her despite her telling him “no.”

She said her last memory was throwing up in the bathroom before she woke up the next morning “very sore” with a “burning/itching sensation” in her genital area.
