Dez Bryant Chastises Malika Andrews Over Not Immediately Reporting White NBA Player’s Alleged Relationship With A Minor

"You went out your way to crucify Brandon Miller on draft day over something he didn’t even do," Bryant wrote on X.

The NBA recently stated that it will investigate claims that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey, who is white, for allegedly having a relationship with an underage girl after photos of the pair circulated online.

For some people, the NBA didn’t act quickly enough while the media sat on this story for too long.

That includes former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, who went on X (formerly known as Twitter) to lambast ESPN’s Malika Andrews, host of The NBA Today. His ire toward her is that she was quick to criticize a Black basketball player, Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets, who was sued for wrongful death although he wasn’t charged with a crime.

In his post, Bryant said Andrews “went out” of her “way to crucify Brandon Miller on draft day over something he didn’t even do.”

In his post, he also told her to not make it a “black or white” thing.

He posted the message Monday, Nov. 27. Another X user replied to his post that Andrews reported on Giddey’s travails on The NBA Today that day.

Bryant responded:

After responding to several people, the former Cowboys wide receiver then went 10 toes down to state that he will “forever” take the side of the athlete when it comes to journalism.

Andrews hasn’t publicly responded to Bryant’s accusation.
