Kravitz was born in New York City in 1964. At the age of three, he began to bang pots and pans in his kitchen and playing the drums at three.  Kravitz did not grow up in a religious environment, but he experienced a spiritual awakening at the age of 13 and started attending church soon after. After hearing from record labels that his music wasn’t “black enough” or “white enough” he recorded an album on his own. After his debut album was released in 1989, Europe fell in love with the singer, while it was a moderate success in the US. In 1990, he produced “Justify My Love” for Madonna, which appeared on her greatest hits album, and his career sky rocketed. He won Best Male Video in 1993 during the MTV Video Music Awards, the Most Fashionable Artist for the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards in 1998, won five Grammys, and won Best Artist of the Year in pop/alternative radio in 2001 at the Radio Music Awards. He also had a role in the popular Hunger Games series. If you are a fan of music in general, love photography, or just want to check out the entrepreneur’s life, his account is definitely worth following.
