According to the Huffington Post, Target has announced an initiative targeted at helping the education system.
The initiative, titled “Give With Target,” aims to raise $1 billion for the U.S. education system by 2015.
The initiative runs through September 8th.
The mega store chain is set to donate $5 million to schools across the country. Of that sum, $2.5 million has been earmarked for a number of $25,000 grants to 100 in-need schools.
Using your personal Facebook account, students can vote once per week for a K-12 school of their choice. Schools will receive a $25 gift card for every 25 votes with a maximum payout of $10,000.
