Golf & Tennis Challenge – Day 1: Into the Swing of Things

The 2015 Black Enterprise Golf & Tennis Challenge has officially kicked off today with fun and sun at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. If you’re just arriving or you’re on your way, here’s a brief rundown of what you can expect today.

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to register or check in at the Challenge Check-in in Canterbury at the PGA National Resort & Spa. Please be advised that you must check in in order to receive your conference credentials and tournament information. At the check-in is also where you can sign up for this weekend’s activities, including Financial Jeopardy, Battle of the Sexes Trivia Challenge, Lip Sync Battle, Photo Scavenger Hunt, Master Chef Challenge, Spades Challenge, the golf and/or tennis clinics, or any of the numerous fitness classes, including belly dancing, boot camp boxing, morning yoga, hip-hop dance workout, Zumba dance workout, spin studio, Pilates barre, and the other event activities.

Tournament Golf will take place in the Golf Staging Area today ’til noon, and Tennis Conditioning begins at 4pm. After you’ve been conditioned, be sure to swing over to the Congressional where Moët-Hennessy will be hosting a documentary screening of An Unexpected History: The Story of Hennessy and African Americans.

Following the screening, it’ll be time to get the party started. There will be a DJ Battle Mixer in the Masters Ballroom featuring some of Florida’s hottest local DJs. Let this be your warm-up before the #BETBT Comedy Show & Ol’ School Jam hosted by AT&T and featuring performances by the legendary Doug E. Fresh and comedians Talent, Kareem Green, and Capone Lee.

That about sums it up for Day 1. Check back tomorrow for Friday’s event rundown.
