Google Drops Price of All Monthly Google Drive Plans

If you pay for online storage, Google’s making it easier for you to save a few dollars. The company announced on its blog a drop in pricing for its Google Drive service, a cloud-based drive that lets you store files, anything from music to documents to videos, and share them as well.

The monthly plans start at $1.99 for 100GB (previously $4.99), $9.99 for 1TB (previously $49.99), and $99.99 for 10TB of storage.

If you need even more, Google offers storage at 20TB and 30TB for $199.99 and $299.99, respectively.

Every Google account comes with 15GB of free storage on Google Drive. “How big is a terabyte anyway? Well, that’s enough storage for you to take a selfie twice a day for the next 200 years and still have room left over for… shall we say… less important things,” said Google. “Like before, storage continues to work across Drive, Gmail and Google+ Photos.”

It’s great news for mobile warriors or people who store large files (like photos or high-definition video) online. It’s bad news for its competitors like Dropbox or Box.net, who-in some cases-don’t even offer the amount of storage Google does.
