Jay-Z and Beyoncé were in an empire state of mind when they rented out a tour bus to view the Big Apple with family.

The hip-hop mogul is in his hometown for the holiday season and celebrated in a way only a man of his stature could. On Wednesday, Dec. 20, the Carters rented out the Tea Around Town tour bus to go sightseeing through New York City with Blue Ivy and other family and friends, TMZ reports.

The celebrity couple rode through popular NYC tourist spots including Times Square, Bryant Park, a close-up view of the Saks 5th Avenue holiday window display and the massive Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. The Tea Around Town tour bus was a great choice for the Carters as the 90-minute sightseeing rides include afternoon tea with scones and sweet treats.

Beyoncé is likely enjoying her time with family after wrapping up her Renaissance World Tour in October. Earlier this month, she premiered the “Renaissance” film that followed the 56-show world tour.

After another profitable year, Beyoncé is now $200 million shy of joining Jay-Z in the billionaire’s club. She closed out 2023 with a net worth of $800 million, according to Forbes.

The $300 million growth from her $500 million reported net worth in 2022 comes thanks in part to her Renaissance tour, $320 million real estate portfolio, and lavish art collection within her and Jay’s $200 million Malibu mansion that’s said “to be the most expensive home in California history.”

Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s current worth is listed at a whopping $2.5 billion. He made history becoming the first billionaire rapper in 2019 and his value has continued to grow since.

Hova’s net worth is a combination of his music catalog that’s reportedly worth an estimated $75 million. Elsewhere, Jay-Z’s cash and business investments are worth an estimated $200 million and include a stake in Uber, ownership in companies like Roc Nation, Tidal, and liquor brands, along with a hefty art and real estate collection.

Renting out a tour bus is light work for the Carters.
