'The Wiz Live!': Common and Ne-Yo Added to Star-Studded Cast

Oscar winner Common entertainer Ne-Yo have been confirmed as joining the cast of NBC’s highly anticipated “The Wiz Live!,” set for airing Dec. 3.

Common will play the Bouncer, the gatekeeper of the entrance to Emerald City who is out to get what he can from Dorothy and her three friends, and Ne-Yo will play the Tin Man.

Other award-winning members of the cast include Queen Latifah, who will play the Wiz, Mary J. Blige, the Wicked Witch of the West, Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Good Witch, David Alan Grier, as the Cowardly Lion, Stephanie Mills as Auntie Em, and Amber Riley as AddaPerle, the Good Witch of the North.

Newcomer Shanice Williams landed the lead role of Dorothy.
