He played the character of Jimmy Brooks, a star basketball player who became physically disabled after being shot by a classmate. He was on the show for the first seven seasons, with guest appearances in season 8.

According to Forbes, “Drake’s fortune grew 50% over the past year, boosted by holdings ranging from real estate to his Virginia Black whiskey, as well as a lucrative tour and new residency at the XS Nightclub in Las Vegas.”

He’s also the global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors.

Earlier this month, he partnered with Canopy Growth to launch the More Life Growth Co., a fully licensed producer of cannabis that is centered on wellness, discovery, and overall personal growth with the hope of facilitating connections and shared experiences across the globe. Drake holds a 60% ownership interest in the More Life Growth Co., with Canopy Growth retaining a 40% ownership.
