Yara Shahidi Partners with Dell XPS to Become Latest Brand Ambassador

Black-ish actress Yara Shahidi is expanding her universe by trying to help ‘Expand Your YOUniverse.’

Dell Technologies recently announced they have tapped Shahidi as its latest brand ambassador. The technology company has entered into a multiyear collaboration with the creative entrepreneur, actor, producer, and advocate to inspire Gen Z to use technology to drive their passions.

“Technology has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. It’s something that touches nearly every aspect of our lives and has the power to make meaningful impact,” said Shahidi in a written statement. “My work with Dell XPS is incredibly special to me because we are mobilizing my generation to use technology to make space for their unique stories and voices.”

In addition to her role as a brand ambassador, Shahidi will bring her passion for representing diverse, young leaders to the Dell XPS brand. She is on board to recommend ideas on inclusive creative campaigns and curate forthcoming collaborations.

The newest Dell XPS creative campaign features Shahidi and Quannah Chasinghorse and musical group Aint Afraid. The campaign, titled ‘Expand Your YOUniverse,’ will assist in amplifying leading Gen Z voices. The collaboration between Shahidi and Dell XPS will attempt to carry out the mission to inspire the next generation of changemakers through current technology.

“Yara’s advocacy and passion for technology deeply aligns with Dell’s commitment to affect positive change in this world,” said Liz Matthews, senior vice president of Global Brand and Creative at Dell Technologies. “At the heart of this collaboration is a shared mission to empower the next generation of changemakers to use technology to shape a better tomorrow.”

The actress and entrepreneur and Dell XPS will also be partners with Ghetto Film School (GFS), an award-winning nonprofit founded to educate, develop, and celebrate the next generation of storytellers.

Ghetto Film School announced on Twitter that Shahidi is among four honorees for the GFS Fall Benefit, including Jerelyn Rodriguez, Tiffany R. Warren, and Chloé Zhao.
