Allyson Felix Reveals Baby No. 2 Is Under Way  After Challenging The Sports Industry During Her First Pregnancy

Allyson Felix and her husband, Kenneth Ferguson, announced they are expecting a boy in April.

Retired American track and field star Allyson Felix announced Nov. 22 that she is expecting baby number two.

“Thanksgiving blessings! Adding a little more love to our family. #PartyofFour #BabyOnBoard,” Felix captioned an Instagram slideshow of photos showing off her baby bump. The former Olympian is all smiles in a bold, red dress as she stands with her husband, Kenneth Ferguson, and 4-year-old daughter, Camryn.

In one photo, Camryn holds a sign that reads, “BABY BROTHER COMING APRIL 2024” in front of her parents. In another, she kisses Felix’s baby bump as the track star smiles.

Ferguson also took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his followers.

“It still doesn’t feel real to say this, but we couldn’t be more excited to say… that we have a baby boy on the way,” the former track and field athlete posted along with photos, including Ferguson and Felix wearing matching caps with the words “Mom” and “Dad.”

Earlier this year, Felix spoke about how motherhood has inspired her.

“Motherhood is the thing that has touched me the most, really normalizing mothers in sport and women not having to choose between that part of life and staying in their professions,” she told ESPN in a June 23 feature. “Becoming a mother and looking at my daughter and the world she’ll grow up in helped me find my voice and speak on some things I would’ve shied away from before.”

The athlete has also become an advocate for the Black maternal health crisis. Felix voiced her concerns about the issue following the death of Olympic teammate Tori Bowie due to pregnancy complications.

“We must see this clearly for what it is—a maternal health crisis. That is why we must continue to fight to protect the lives of every woman and every mother in our nation,” Felix wrote at the time.

She continues to pursue her advocacy for women with her footwear brand, Saysh, a project that has become the first-ever to offer maternity returns.
