Candace Owens Safe After FBI Arrests Man Who Wanted Her Dead

Owens and her family are safe.

Media personality Candace Owens is safe after the FBI arrested a man from New Jersey who had plans to kill her, the New York Post reports.

Authorities arrested Haim Braverman after they believed he was a grave threat to Owens and her family.

Owens provided the rundown on social media, claiming Braverman was after her because of a debate she had with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on Piers Morgan Uncensored in September 2024.

“The motive of the crime was made clear to me by the FBI today. Haim wanted to murder me because of my @piersmorgan debate against Shmuley,” she wrote on X. “Bc I offended the dead Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, who many Jews viewed as a messiah. Haim was unequivocal that he was willing to serve time in prison for killing me.”

Owens said her family was subjected to harassment and threats, prompting involvement from the authorities. She started a social media thread showcasing the entire ordeal that she said started shortly after her appearance on the show.

“My family endured a series of attacks led by deranged Zionists,” she wrote on X. After accusing the FBI of withholding information about the case, in March, Owens said, she received a “victim packet” in the mail with a case number and victim representative assigned, but claimed there weren’t any additional details provided on the organization’s website.

However, once the details surfaced, things changed.

Braverman allegedly shared his plans to harm Owens and her family online with a private group chat titled “Real Jewish,” and included pictures of knives, stun guns and steel bats. While Braverman didn’t name the podcast host by name, he posted a video pointing the finger at a “political commentator”—referred to in the complaint as “Individual-1”—by name while holding a bat.

“If I could fking kill you right now, I would not even… fk it, I’ll give you the steel bat. I wouldn’t even stop. I’d kill you. Dead,” he allegedly said.

He also allegedly continued with a written comment stating, “[Individual-1] needs to be killed.”

Owens, who has been accused on multiple occasions of making antisemitic statements against Jews and the nation of Israel, expressed frustration with the Department of Justice for its lack of transparency. Owens claimed Braverman had already pleaded guilty, but that she wasn’t informed. She also questioned why his mugshot wasn’t posted on social media.

“This is Haim Braverman. It seems his socials have been scrubbed from the web, and this is the only photo I can find of him, which was included in a media piece about his guilty plea one week ago,” she wrote.

“This photo, btw, was provided by the DOJ. Where is his mugshot photo? And who else was in the group chat? According to the DOJ’s email to me, Haim Braverman is being charged with Interstate communications for ransom.”

According to WBLS, Braverman is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
