AT&T has launched ‘Believe Chicago’—a new initiative to aid Chicago neighborhoods afflicted with gun violence and high unemployment. The telecom giant will donate $2 million to grassroots organization in 19 Chicago communities has a goal to create over 400 new jobs to employ those communities’ residents.

Upward Bound Programs in Jeopardy Because of Minor Errors

Because of such niggling, technical oversights, Upward Bound programs serving more than 2,000 students at 40 colleges are in jeopardy. Schools and their supporters have appealed to U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, but so far to no avail.
