Steve Harvey paid a huge tribute to his wife, Marjorie Harvey, while accepting his Grio Award for Television Icon.

The famed comedian and television personality was honored with The Television Icon Award at theGrio Awards on Saturday, Nov. 25, and dedicated it to his wife. During his speech, an emotional Harvey praised his wife and seemingly addressed the cheating rumors that surfaced earlier this year.

“That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires,” Steve told the audience while pointing to his wife in a clip shared online. “That woman right there has been faithful to me, loyal to me, 85% of what y’all talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there.

“We been 18 years strong,” he added. “I don’t know what y’all been trying to do, but we covered though.”

The Original Kings of Comedy star closed his speech with a few biblical verses—Isaiah 54:17, Isaiah 43:1-2 and Psalm 91—that touched on the sanctity of his marriage before passing his award off to his wife.

“I’m a give this to you,” he said. “I love you, Marjorie Harvey. I appreciate you riding with me.”

Over the summer, Steve and Marjorie shut down rumors that circulated across social media accusing Marjorie of stepping out on the comedian with a staffer. While at Invest Fest in August, Steve denied the allegations, as seen in a TikTok captured by an attendee.

“Before I get started, just let me say, I’m fine. Marriage is fine,” he told the crowd. “I don’t know what y’all are doin’, but find something else to do ‘cause we fine, Lord have mercy.”

Marjorie followed up with an Instagram post of a Bible verse about “how to handle being lied about.” In her lengthy caption, she dismissed the cheating rumors.

“My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us,” she wrote. “However to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are.”
