Will Smith Admits He Had a Premonition of His Career Downfall While Tripping on Psychedelics
Will Smith reveals he had a vision of the destruction of his career before the Oscars slap while tripping on ayahuasca, an herbal drink with psychedelic properties. While speaking to David Letterman on the most recent episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Smith recounts the trip, seeing all his money, home and career soaring further and further away from him.
The Oscar-winner admitted to taking the hallucinogenic tea 14 times within a two year span.
“Once you drink it you’re going to see yourself in a way you’ve never seen yourself,” he said. “One of the experiences was the individual most hellish psychological experience of my life.”
Smith continued: “I drank, and it usually takes about 45 minutes to kick in. And I’m sitting there and you always feel like, ‘Maybe it won’t kick in this time.’ So I’m drinking and sitting there and then all of a sudden it’s like I start seeing all of my money flying away, and my house is flying away and my career is going away.”
In a panic, the Hollywood star says he began to try to “grab” his belongings.
“My whole life is getting destroyed,” he said. “This is my fear in real life, and I’m in there and I’m wanting to vomit and all of that, and I hear a voice saying: ‘This is what the f— it is. This is what the f— life is.'”
He goes on to describe seeing his daughter Willow cry out for help.
“Then slowly I stopped caring about my money, I just wanted to get to Willow. I stopped caring about my house, I stopped caring about my career,” he shared with Letterman.
After the worst of it was over, Smith recalls the epiphany moment that washed over him. He reached the end of the trip with a refreshed view of life.
“When I came out of it, I realized that anything that happens in my life, I can handle it,” the 53-year-old actor said. “I can handle any person I lose, I can handle anything that goes wrong in my life, I can handle anything in my marriage. I can handle anything that this life has to offer me.”
First Funeral Services Begin for Buffalo Shooting Victims
The first couple of funeral services began for the 10 Black victims killed in the racist attack at the Buffalo Tops supermarket May 14.
Heyward Patterson’s family held a private ceremony on Friday at the Lincoln Memorial United Methodist Church. Patterson, 67, was an esteemed deacon at the Tabernacle Church of God for over a decade, a congregation close by the Tops Friendly Market. He was known to drive those who didn’t have means of transport to the Tops market so they could buy fresh groceries.
“A lot of them don’t have cars, no buses. He’s just taking them home back and forth. He had a family, has a beautiful son, and they snatched him from them,” saidLeonard Lane tearfully, a friend of Patterson. “He loved his children, any man can see. And he loved God, that’s all that he wanted to do, help people.”
A viewing was held before his burial at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, where over 1,000 people came to pay their respects. The family of the deacon asked the press not to attend.

“An honorable man. A family man. A working man. A community man. An honest man that was at a grocery store in a parking lot,” said a relative of Patterson to WKBW.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
Thirty-two-year-old Roberta Drury was laid to rest yesterday, the youngest of the victims.
She worked as a secretary at a mental health and substance abuse counseling office, where she was loved by all. Her funeral service was held at Assumption Church in Syracuse.
“Last Saturday, May 14, our corner of the world was changed forever,” parochial vicar Friar Nicholas Spanosaid during her service. “Lives ended. Dreams shattered and our state was plunged into mourning.”
In Drury’s obituary, her family wrote that she “couldn’t walk a few steps without meeting a new friend.”
Katherine “Kat” Massey, 72, was a civil rights activist and writer for the Buffalo Challenger. In 2021, she penned an article titled, “Letter: Federal legislation must address gun issue,” where she called for the urgent need to resolve gun violence in the country. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday, May 23, at the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.
Sharon Belton-Cottman, a Buffalo school board official and part of an advocacy group called We are Women Warriors, of which Massey was a member, told ABC News that she is working to rename Massey’s street after her.
Celestine Chaney, a 65-year-old breast cancer survivor and grandmother of six, is planned to have her funeral service on Tuesday, May 24, at Elim Christian Fellowship. Her older sister Joann Daniels was with her at the grocery store when the shooting began. She recalls they were already leaving the store and Chaney was right behind her when it all happened, but unfortunately did not make it out.
“She told me to go ahead on, she was coming. ‘Go ‘head on, Joann; I’m coming, I’m coming.’ But she never made it. She never made it. So, my sister saved my life. She saved me,” Daniels said.

She is survived by her sisters, her son, her grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
Retired Buffalo police officer Aaron W. Salter Jr. will be laid to rest on Tuesday, May 24, at the Amigone Funeral Home. The 55-year-old beloved Top Friendly Markets security guard was revered a hero for his attempt to stop the white supremacist shooter. Salter’s brave actions proved unsuccessful as he could not penetrate the shooter’s body armor, causing the teenage assailant to return gunfire, killing Salter.
“I’m pretty sure he saved some lives today. He’s a hero,” said his son Aaron Salter III.
He leaves behind three children.
Pearl L. Young, 77, was a long-time substitute teacher at the Buffalo Public School District and Emerson School of Hospitality. She was affectionately known as “the neighborhood mom.” For 25 years, Young ran a food pantry in the Central Park neighborhood of Buffalo.
Her funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, at the Elim Christian Fellowship.
“She loved her children, her family, and her Good-Samaritan COGIC church family. She was a true pillar in the community,” her family said in a statement.
According to her obituary, she is survived by her three children, 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, her church family and her Sunday school students.
Fifty-two-year-old Margus D. Morrison was a school bus aide with Buffalo Public Schools and former security guard. He was out at Tops to buy chicken and salad for a weekly movie night with his family. Funeral ceremonies for Morrison are to be held Friday, May 27, at True Bethel Baptist Church. He is remembered fondly by his family as well as Buffalo school children he made an impact on.
On Saturday, Morrison went to Tops to buy chicken and salad for a weekly movie night with his wife and daughter. His stepdaughter says she’ll remember him as funny, a great cook, and always there for her and her family. She said he was a father to her since she was 8 years old. pic.twitter.com/CR0QZyXjKl
“We’re part of a group you don’t wanna be in, but we’re forced into this group now,” said his stepdaughter Cassandra Demps. “And I promise that I’m gonna stay strong for him and carry his name with dignity and grace.”
He is “a soul that will always be missed,” she added.
Additional services will be included as they are released.
A fund has been set up for the families of those killed as well as survivors.
New York Appoints Financial Guardian Over Wendy Williams’ Accounts, Talk Show Host Is Not Pleased
Wendy Williams saw a minor breakthrough with her ongoing battle with Wells Fargo when a New York court removed the bank from its operational role and appointed a financial advisor as guardian over the talk show host accounts, a move that still displeased the daytime media personality, according to Deadline.
“Please be advised that Wendy is not in agreement with the appointment of a financial guardian by the court,” said Williams’ lawyer LaShawn Thomas about a New York Supreme Court judge placing an unidentified guardian over his client’s financial assets until July.
“Wendy has been very clear that she does not want a financial guardian to tell her what she can and cannot do with her money,” continued the Miami-based attorney.
The 57-year-old accused Wells Fargo of denying “[her] any access, whether online or otherwise, to her financial accounts, assets, and statements.” Based on her filed court documents, she alleges that the multinational financial service company limited her access to her accounts based on the recommendation of Williams’ former financial advisor, Lori Schiller, who said Williams “was of unsound mind,” according to People.
“Wells Fargo’s priority is the financial well-being of Ms. Williams and the preservation of her privacy,” said the bank in a press statement in March. “As we have expressed to the Court, Wells Fargo is open to working with Ms. Williams’ counsel to release funds directly to her creditors for bills historically and regularly paid from her accounts.”
The queen of daytime talk suffers from Graves disease and other health issues and had to take a leave of absence from her popular syndicated program, The Wendy Williams Show.
The year-long dispute between Williams and Fargo concerning her accounts, and she posted a video in March alleging that her ex-manager Bernie Young took $100,000 out of her funds to arrange guardianship over her, according to Deadline.
“Wendy feels that she is capable of hiring her own financial advisors who work for and report to her and not to the court,” declared Thomas. “We believe that this story has been put forth in an attempt to lessen the public outcry and regulatory scrutiny mounting around Wells Fargo due to their actions.”
In late February, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, the producer-distributor of The Wendy Williams Show, ended the broadcast and directed its attention to the launch of former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd’s new Sherri show.

Atlanta-Based Gynecologist Launches Clean And Cute Panty Wash To Reduce Vaginal Infections
Dr. Tosha Rogers is one of the top OB/GYN in the nation in women’s health and wellness, and ironically, she had no interest in the field at first. According to her website, she graduated from Drexel University in 1998 with a B.S. in Chemistry with honors and enrolled in the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and graduated with her D.O degree in 2002.

Rogers then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Philadelphia’s Drexel University College of Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital and has practiced for 15 years. Throughout her practice as a gynecologist, she found many of her patients dealt with repeated Bacterial vaginosis infections. Rogers treats vaginal inflammation differently than most of her colleagues.
First, she inquires about her client’s habits and gives them tips on avoiding the condition. For instance, Rogers tells women to avoid shampooing their hair in the shower because the shampoo will drain into the vagina.
Instead, women should consider washing their hair in the sink or any alternative where the hair cleaning products do not make contact with the body. She adds that women should never use liquid soap and keep away from scented soap, deodorant soap, baby wipes, Summer’s Eve, and Vagisil. The compounds that make up liquid soaps, even if they are vegan, the vagina will reject them.
She even brings up a line of natural products made by African-American women. However, she will not publicly denounce the brand on any platform, “My attitude is that Summer’s Eve made trillions, and they caused vaginitis; I’m not going to block anybody else’s blessings.”
Instead, she instructs her patients to grab a washcloth and only use the original Dove white bar soap on their entire body, not the one for sensitive skin or one for exfoliation.
“You want to smell good, buy some oil, buy some perfume,” she says.
However, she notes other caveats when she speaks with her patients and questions them about how long they’ve worn the same undergarments. She realized one patient had a pair of underwear that she’s worn for years, considering that women’s underwear at the cheapest can sell for six dollars, “Do you know anything that costs six dollars that lasts for years?”
Rogers finally understoodwhy her patient was experiencing numerous bouts of BV, and it was due to the bacterial buildup in her underwear. Although women may wash their underwear, they can still come out unclean.
Armed with her chemistry background, Rogers placed herself on a mission to find a solution to this intimate problem. She broke out her notebook and began brainstorming what she needed to do while being mindful that a woman’s vagina is sensitive.
“Maybe you don’t have vaginitis, maybe you don’t have yeast, maybe you have simply dirty panties that are irritating you because you are washing them with everything that your vagina hates,” ruminated Rogers. Which eventually led her to birth a hypo-allergenic, non-GMO, no parabens, and organic Clean & Cute™ delicate panty wash.

For women to maintain their vaginal health, the Philadelphia native advises them to follow her blueprint, “There’s a lot of different arms when it comes to vaginitis, first is medication failure. The medication that most of the doctors are going to give you is going to fail you 40% of the time. The reason for that is there are five different types of vaginitis that medication only kills three, and a lot of doctors are too lazy to figure out which type you have. They look for the most common type, and that’s it,” Rogers says she uses a different medication than other doctors commonly use to prevent medication failure.
She also informs her patients while vaginitis is not sexually transmitted, it is sexually associated, “Semen is not just sperm, it’s sperm, urine, blood, and pus. So whatever a male does, whatever he eats, drinks, whatever medication he’s on, how high his blood sugar is, all of that is composed in his semen. When you have unprotected sex, it is now part of your vagina.” If a woman’s partner has a poor diet, doesn’t eat fruit and vegetables, doesn’t consume water, or the opposite, maybe he is into upkeeping his health and takes supplements from GNC; all of those components disrupt his balance and the woman’s ph balance when she engages in unprotected sex.
When a woman uses the correct products, monitors her sexual activity, drinks water daily, washes her vagina at least twice a day, and cleans her undergarments with Roger’s Clean & Cute™ delicate panty wash, her vagina will function appropriately.
Clean & Cute™ delicate panty wash and Clean & Cute™ Men’s are available for purchase.

Rockland County School Accused of Racist Taunts for Third Time in Three Months
A third racist incident took place at a Pearl River, New York, school sports event within a three month span. Earlier this year it was monkey sounds, and this week on May 18, racial slurs were thrown at student athletes, reports WABC.
In February, fans at a Rockland County high school basketball game repeatedly shouted monkey noises at different Black players making free throws during a varsity match. Pearl River High School hosted the predominantly Black Nyack High School basketball team.
On Wednesday, Nyack was competing at a track meet with Pearl River in Suffern when a seventh grader from Pearl River reportedly called a Nyack Middle student the N-word.
After the student alerted coaches, the children were removed from the meet.
For the second time this year, the community is outraged that this would happen short after the racist monkey taunts, considering the school district issued a statement months ago that they would attempt to quell the racist incidents. Since April 12, the district adopted a Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity in Education policy and the creation of an equity task force.
Unsurprisingly, Superintendent Dr. Marco Pochintesta said an identical event occured when Pearl River hosted Suffern High School for a basketball game just a week before the February incident. He also admitted that two other harmful instances took place with LGBTQ+ students but have no leads for those responsible.
Allowing monkey noises to echo through a gymnasium while an African American player shoots free throws, sanctions racism and hatred. Pearl River missed the mark to correct abhorrent behavior. Stop the Game. Remove the Offenders. Do Better! pic.twitter.com/i3GeSyNPnH
In a statement, Dr. Pochintesta said, “These offensive and unacceptable actions are hurtful and have led to serious consequences for those responsible. While we have identified and held accountable the students involved, I know this behavior in no way reflects the true character of our school community and we have zero tolerance for such hateful thinking.
“We are reminded that we all have an obligation to not only confront racism when it occurs, but also to implement programs and allocate appropriate resources to prevent its continuation in our district. We must reiterate how absolutely essential it is to the core values of our school community that all persons be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.”
Nicole Hines of the NAACP is not happy with the task force’s progress of still being in planning stages three months later.
“If you are going to create something and this means so much to you and you think this is very horrific and it’s traumatizing and you know all these things, then you need to be on the ball, it happened February 9 and we’re now in May,” she said.
According to the district athletic governing body, Nyack has been given the option to not schedule further athletic events with Pearl River.
Michigan Teacher Placed on Leave After Image of Barack Obama Used on Primates Assignment
A teacher at The Roeper School, a private gifted school in Birmingham, Michigan, has been placed on leave after assigning students a worksheet that depicted the former President Barack Obama next to monkeys, with the question, “Which of the following are primates?”
Classes were canceled on Thursday and police patrolled the perimeter of the campus due to alleged online threats, reports Detroit’sWDIV.
“When I saw it I couldn’t believe it,” said the director of diversity for the Detroit suburb school, Carolyn Lett. “It is something that the teacher did. You know, purposefully put this picture in along with the animals and the apes and the primates. I’m trying to understand this myself. But right away I had a reaction, like, ‘It’s so wrong I can’t understand it.’”
Lett revealed the images hurt students and enraged parents. The assignment was given out on May 11, prompting a letter from parents the following day. School officials say they are baffled with what the educator’s purpose was for putting the nation’s first Black president alongside primates. According to the teacher, she wasn’t aware of the sensitivity of her offense.

The Roeper School released a statement on Friday saying, “On behalf of Roeper School’s leadership, we want to acknowledge the disturbing racial offense contained in an assignment with an upper school class last week. The choice to use this piece of curriculum was completely inconsistent with our School’s philosophy and mission and we sincerely apologize for its use and the harm it has caused. While the teacher has taken responsibility and admits the mistake of not properly vetting the resource, we know that is not enough and she has been placed on administrative leave until further notice.”
Per Detroit News, the worksheet was part of an “Apes, monkeys, and lemurs, an introduction to primates” biology class, originally from a Duke University curriculum. A total of 30 students received the racist assignment.
The Roeper School has offered counseling services to students affected.
The school’s statement concludes with a pledge to more thoroughly review curriculum that could be considered harmful and continue “professional development for faculty and staff in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice work with a specific focus on racial bias and cultural competencies.”
Parents Of Nygil Cullins Killed By Atlanta Police Demand Better Trained Officers
On Wednesday, Atlanta police killed a 22-year-old young man named Nygil Cullins at a Buckhead steakhouse after experiencing a mental health crisis. Quinten and Mya Cullins are both overcome with grief and anger by their son’s death at the upscale Fogo De Chao on Piedmont Road, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
“This is an interview I would never wish on my worst enemy, but I want y’all to know something has to change,” said Mya Cullins. “I don’t want to see another mother out there struggling – and their worst fear is being killed by a cop.”
Nygil’s parents are demanding that officers are trained to become better equipped to deal with people in the community who have mental health issues.
Atlanta Police Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. said the restaurant staff alerted his department about an unruly customer, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Nygil close to the bar and attempted to escort him off the property. However, he was uncooperative, and one of the officers decided to use a stun gun; Hampton noted that it “had a negative effect on the subject.”
Law enforcement members continued to struggle with Nygil near the restaurant’s entrance, where he attempted to leave before being struck down by a security guard. Cullins pulled out his weapon during their scuffle and fired one shot, striking the guard. The officers returned fire, and killed Cullins, said Hampton, The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports.
The family of 22-year-old Nygil Cullins say he was the man shot and killed by an APD officer at Fogo De Chao on Wednesday.
They say their son had mental health issues, and they called 911 to get him help hours before he was shot and killed.
“And all the sudden, it started to escalate, and we started hearing noise and a lot of commotion,” recalls a witness to Fox 5.
According to Mya Cullins, she called 911 and told them that her son had bipolar schizophrenia and needed to be taken to a mental health facility.
She tried to convince her son to stay at his apartment until help arrived, but he eventually left.
Later, she learned of her son’s death on the news.
“He left. Not even 30 or 40 minutes later, he’s on the news,” said Mya.
“He battled mental health for a while. We always tried to get him help dealing with his depression and bipolar (disorder). That is what we were trying to do yesterday,” said Nygil’s father on Thursday.
“We called 911 for them to bring someone out. His mom got on the phone and made clear we were dealing with our son. We just needed someone to come and help us to get him to the hospital.”
“No one is excluded from struggling with mental health. Nygil comes from a good family, he had a good heart, good friends,” she said. “He didn’t deserve it. We just got to do better to make sure people are professionally trained, educated and we are well-equipped in each county to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.”
Nygil’s parents said their son was happy and loving.
