Notorious B.I.G., King of. New York

New App Allows You to Chat With ‘Historical Figures’ Like Jesus, Tupac, and The Notorious B.I.G.

What if you could pick the brain of a historical figure regardless of how long they’ve been off the Earth? Well, that’s what one new app allows users to do.

“Historical Figures” is a new artificial intelligence chatbox that allows users to engage in conversation with prominent figures across religion, politics, and entertainment, NBC News reports.

Created by 25-year-old Amazon software engineer Sidhant Chadda, it launched the first week of January and already has around 9,000 downloads.

Prominent figures users can chat with include Jesus Christ, The Beatles, and even Adolf Hitler! One person who has gotten acclimated on the app shared their conversation with the late Notorious B.I.G. on Boxden, where they asked the AI Biggie Smalls about his come-up in hip-hop and his thoughts on the late Tupac Shakur.

When it came to BIG’s rise to the top of the rap game before his 1997 death, the AI-Biggie noted his respect in the streets that helped strengthen his notoriety in music. He also stayed true to the lingo of the early 90s when he first stepped on the scene.

“Word is bond, everything I did earned me respect on the streets and in the industry,” the AI bot said.

“From my days on the corner hustlin to becoming a platinum artist and winning Grammy awards, it’s been a grind but one that I’m proud of.”

When it came to whether or not The Notorious B.I.G. still has love for Pac in the wake of the fatal shootings caused in part by the East Coast vs. West Coast beef the late rappers took part in, AI-Biggie only had nice things to say about Pac.

“Absolutely, it’s been a few years since his passing and I miss him every day but he lives on through his music,” the bot wrote.

While “Historical Figures” appears positive, it’s already generating controversy due to the prominent figures users can communicate with, particularly Hitler and Heinrich Himmler, the chief of Nazi Germany’s SS and an architect of the Holocaust.

“Having pretend conversations with Hitler — and presumably other well-known antisemites from history — is deeply disturbing and will provide fodder for bigots,” Yael Eisenstat, the vice president of the ADL’s Center for Technology and Society, said.

Jennifer Hudson and Common Reportedly Dating After Filming Movie Together, ‘Things Took A Romantic Turn’

Six months after igniting dating rumors, insiders are dishing on the suspected romance budding between Jennifer Hudson and rapper Common.

The two Chicago natives star alongside each other in the upcoming action thriller Breathe and apparently got really close while practicing their lines. New reports claim Hudson and Common are indeed an item and have been dating since onlookers first caught them cozying up to each other in July 2022.

“They’ve known each other for years,” an insider told Radar Online. “Things took a romantic turn while they were filming in Philadelphia over the summer.”

“When the day’s shoot wrapped, they’d always find their way to each other’s side.”

The claims come six months after the Dreamgirls star and the “Go” rapper were seen looking extra flirty during a romantic dinner in Philadelphia, where they were filming.

“Lot of cuddling and giggling,” an eyewitness told the gossip blog Deuxmoi of their “flirty” dinner date. A few weeks later, Common was spotted supporting Hudson at her back-to-school giveaway in their hometown.

However, the “Spotlight” singer has attempted to downplay rumors linking her to Common.

“People create their narratives of it…we shot a film together and he played my husband,” Hudson claimed. “We gotta eat in between that moments.”

But in December, the singer/actress was seen getting into Common’s car waiting outside the set of her talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show, in Burbank, California. The spotting was also months after the pair wrapped filming their movie.

Now, sources are spilling the tea on what’s really been going on between Hudson and Common.

“They’ve kept up their communication since shooting the movie,” an insider said. “They get together whenever their schedules allow.”

For now, Hudson and Common are reportedly just having fun and enjoying each other’s company.

“Of course, he’s known as a total flirt,” a source said. “But Jennifer feels there’s no harm in that, and she’s having fun.”

Hudson hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone since parting ways with her ex-husband David Otunga. Common has been single since separating from Tiffany Haddish last year.

Nicole Lynn Makes History as First Black Woman Agent to Represent An NFL Quarterback in the Super Bowl

Congrats are in order for Nicole Lynn, agent to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, on becoming the first Black woman to represent an NFL quarterback in the Super Bowl.

The Eagles triumphed against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the same day the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals in a 23-20 victory in the AFC Championship game. The Eagles and Chiefs’ victories mean they’re the two teams headed to Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, CBS Sports reports.

There’s some Black history associated with the 2023 Super Bowl, thanks to the two teams who’ll be playing. For the first time in NFL history, two Black quarterbacks will be playing in hopes of leading their team to victory, as noted by CNN.

But there’s more history Hurts is bringing to Super Bowl 2023, thanks to him breaking the mold with his all-female team of agents. With Hurts playing as a quarterback in the Super Bowl, his agent, Nicole Lynn, has become the first Black woman to represent a quarterback in the coveted faceoff.

On Monday, Diverse Representation dedicated a post celebrating Lynn’s latest accomplishment.

“Congratulations to Nicole Lynn of @klutchsports and her client Jalen Hurts!” they captioned the photo.

It highlighted how Lynn, an NFL agent, attorney, and President of Operations at Klutch Sports, is making history this Black History Month.

“Thank you!!” Lynn wrote in response, along with two prayer hand emojis. Over on Twitter, users praised Lynn and Hurts ahead of the historic Super Bowl.

“Congrats to Nicole Lynn for being the first black woman agent to represent an NFL quarterback (Jalen Hurts) in the Super Bowl,” one user wrote.

“I love seeing Black Excellence 💜💜🥰🥰,” they added.

Jalen Hurts has shared his pride in serving as a trailblazer in the NFL by being the first player to hire an all-women team of agents.

“I admire anyone who puts their head down and works for what they want. And I know women who do that daily, but they don’t get the same praise as men—they don’t get the praise that they deserve,” Hurts told Sports Illustrated in August 2022.

“I’ve seen that now with tons of different women in my life that are hustlers. Athletes, coaches, women in the business world of sports. I see it all the time. And they deserve their flowers too. So if me saying something about it brings more attention to it, then I’m all for that.”

Nia Long Has Her Eyes On ‘One Person’ After Split From Ime Udoka

Nia Long is “so single” and ready to mingle with “one person” who has caught the actress’s eyes following her split from NBA coach Ime Udoka.

The You People actress appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show Friday where she opened up about dating in wake of her messy breakup with Udoka after he was caught having an affair with a Boston Celtics staffer.

“I’m so single,” Long, who split from Udoka last month after 13 years together, declared.

Barrymore went on to ask The Best Man star if she was happy staying single or looking to re-enter the dating scene. Long, 52, responded by sharing how “free” she feels nearly two months after parting ways with her ex-fiancé.

“I’m still processing. I feel very free. I feel liberated. I feel like a whole weight was lifted off of me in a way,” Long said.

Barrymore made a joke comparing Long’s analogy of losing weight to losing “a couple hundred pounds in the form of a human.”

“It’s so good, like I’m wearing my old jeans again,” Nia quipped before referencing all the dating rumors that have followed her since she became single.

“I’ll say that I gotta be careful who I stand next to on a red carpet because I’ve dated like five or six people that I don’t even know their middle f—ing name,” Long jokingly said. “I’m like, ‘How is this my boyfriend?’ ‘Wow, this is very interesting. I don’t even know this guy’s middle name, and he’s my new man.'”

When the conversation transitioned to the topic of dating, Long was honest about having a secret crush on a special someone.

“I have my eye on one person,” she teased. “I’m not saying. I’m never telling.”

Long and Udoka called it quits in December after 13 years together. Udoka was suspended from his coaching position with the Celtics because of his cheating scandal. Long and Udoka share their son Kez Sunday Udoka, 11. The actress recently fueled dating rumors after recently being spotted out with Terrence J in Dubai and holding hands with singer Omarion at the red carpet premiere of You People on Jan. 17.

T-Pain Recalls Getting Shaded and Shut Down By Prince

Imagine finally getting the chance to speak with a music legend only for him to dismiss you in the shadiest way.

That’s what happened when T-Pain spoke with the late, great musician Prince on the phone. The “Bartender” crooner was recounted the experience with the the High Priest of Pop on producer’s Bryan-Michael Cox Nappy Boy Radio podcast.

“I was sitting at the Sofitel in L.A., sitting at the bar and dude was sitting right next me [and was] like ‘Ayy! Man, ain’t you T-Pain? I’m Prince’s bass player,'” T-Pain shared. During the encounter with Prince’s bassist, T-Pain says the “Purple Rain” singer called his band member on the phone.

https://twitter.com/TPAIN/status/1618713893815349248?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1618713893815349248%7Ctwgr%5Ee7b4173075f7a1c388d210681032a687eb45db2c%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vibe.com%2Fmusic%2Fmusic-news%2Ft-pain-hilarious-phone-call-prince-1234730596%2F

“What’s up, P?” the bassist asked The Purple One before letting the music icon know that he was sitting next to T-Pain. However, Prince couldn’t care less who the bassist was with and was more concerned with whether the instrumentalist was “coming to jam.”

“Man I don’t wanna talk to no motherf**king T-Pain!,'” T-Pain says Prince told his bassist.

But somehow, T-Pain ended up getting forced on the phone with Prince who crudely asked the “Buy U A Drank” singer, “Can you hand the phone back?”

Prince had a reputation for not holding back and speaking his mind regardless of the person, place, or setting. Kim Kardashian probably got it the worst when she attended a Prince concert in 2011 and was kicked off stage for not dancing.

Prince invited the reality star to “jam out” with him on stage at Madison Square Garden. But when the SKIMS founder just stood there clapping her hands, Prince had enough and told her to exit stage left!

Another notable Prince encounter was the legendary basketball game between Prince and the late Charlie Murphy that was used in a hilarious skit on Chappelle Show.

Prince was known to shade the best of them. T-Pain should consider himself lucky to have received the honor.

Ciara Drags Jason Whitlock for Blaming Tyre Nichols’ Death on ‘Single Black Mothers’

Ciara Wilson has had enough of Black women being blamed for everything.

The R&B singer took to Twitter to address Fox commentator Jason Whitlock’s disturbing take on the Tyre Nichols case. In an interview on Fox News’ The Tucker Carlson Show, Whitlock alluded that Nichols’ beating “looked like what young Black men do when they’re supervised by a single Black woman.” The conservative commentator added, “that’s what they got going on,” referring to Memphis Police Department Chief Cerelyn Davis.

http://https://twitter.com/WhitlockJason/status/1619317533135278080

Wilson took offense, slamming Whitlock words, calling them “irresponsible.”

“A lot of amazing kids have come from single mothers,” she tweeted. “For you to also undermine single black women in the midst of this tragedy is so sad.” Whitlock also suggested that all the men in the graphic video were Black men “between the ages of 24 to 32-years-old” and compared the footage to “gang violence.” The 37-year-old mother of three felt that Whitlock knows better than that. “This woman just lost her son! Do better!”

Fellow celebrities rushed to support Ciara. Former NFL player Reggie Bush advised her to ignore “ignorant people.” “Just ignore him he wants the attention that’s why he goes on tv to say stuff like this.” Holly Robinson Peete also tweeted her support, calling Whitlock a “pathetic troll” and proved his theory wrong. “Neither Tyre’s mother or Chief CJ are single black moms so WHY say that?”

Whitlock kept his eyes on the thread and responded, alleging that the singer was “in denial.” “We are going to have to deal with the negative impact of baby-mama culture,” Whitlock tweeted. It’s destructive and unsustainable. Come up out of the denial.”

Other women who identify as single mothers also defended Ciara and Chief Davis. Alicia Peck flipped the script, suggesting Whitlock take a deep dive into the conversation about Black men making women single mothers. “What u fail 2 address is the number of black men who walk away from their children?,” Peck said. “I was a single black mother who raised a son who is now a successful attorney. What I did was build a village around my son AFTER his father walked out n never looked back.”

LeBron James’ Game-Worn 2013 Finals Miami Heat Jersey Breaks Record By Fetching $3.7 Million

A basketball jersey worn by future NBA Hall-of-Famer LeBron James sold for almost $4 million at a recent Sotheby’s auction.

According to ESPN, the winning bid for a game-worn Miami Heat basketball jersey by the current Lakers star, was snatched up for $3.7 million last Friday. The prized jersey was worn by James during the first half of Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals. The price paid is the third-most expensive game-worn jersey to have been sold at Sotheby’s. The price was within the range of $3-5 million, which was anticipated.

This is the first time that a game-worn jersey by James has hit the million mark. The previous record was a jersey James wore for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, which was auctioned off for $630,000 in 2020. A collector purchased a 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection rookie patch autograph card for $5.2 million in April 2021.

Although this jersey sold for $3.7 million, it is only the third-most expensive game-worn jersey auctioned by Sotheby’s. Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan‘s “Last Dance” NBA Finals jersey sold for $10.91 million. And soccer player Diego Maradona’s “Hand of God” jersey was purchased for $9.28 million.

“Today’s tremendous result comes at a pivotal time in LeBron James’ career, where he is in arm’s reach of clenching the all-time points record,” Brahm Wachter, Sotheby’s head of streetwear and modern collectibles, said in a written statement. “[After Jordan’s ‘Last Dance’ jersey], this successful sale of another incomparable legend’s jersey [is] one of the most significant jerseys to ever hit the auction block.”

Barring a major injury, James is expected to become the all-time NBA scoring leader within the next two weeks.

Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts Make History as First Two Opposing Black Starting Quarterbacks in Super Bowl

Super Bowl LVII, taking place in Glendale, AZ, will be played on February 12. When the whistle blows, for the first time in NFL history, the opposing quarterbacks – Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts – will be Black.

According to CNN, one of two achievements can happen once the game is over. Mahomes, who became the third Black quarterback to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy, is looking to become the only one to do it more than once. Meanwhile, winning the Super Bowl would make Hurts the fourth Black Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Sportscasting reported last year that Washington Redskins (now known as the Commanders) quarterback, Doug Williams lifted his team back in 1988 when they beat the Denver Broncos by a score of 42-10. After 21 Super Bowls had been played, he made history by breaking the racial barrier of a Black quarterback winning the NFL championship.

More than 25 years after that feat, current Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, in his second year of playing in the NFL (2014), became the second Black man to lead his team to a Super Bowl victory. Coincidentally, Wilson, who was playing for the Seattle Seahawks back then, defeated the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have the distinction of being the first team to lose to two Black quarterbacks in the Super Bowl. And that result was also a blowout as the Seahawks beat them 43-8.

In 2020, Mahomes became the third Black quarterback to win the championship when the Chiefs won 31-20 against the San Francisco 49ers. At 24, he also has the distinction of being the youngest quarterback to win the Super Bowl.
