Tamar Defends Yung Miami After She’s Mocked Once Diddy Announces Baby With Another Woman

Rapper Yung Miami has come under fire after Diddy announced the birth of his daughter, Love Sean Combs, over the weekend.

Bad Boy Founder Sean “Diddy” Combs, 53, shocked the world when he took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that he secretly welcomed a daughter he named after himself, Page Six reports.

“I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,” the hip-hop mogul tweeted..

Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!” he added.

With the announcement coming amid Diddy’s public high-profile romance with Yung Miami, many have been commenting on the baby news and making a mockery of the City Girls member. One songstress came to Caresha’s defense after The Shade Room posted the news to its Instagram page.

“Before y’all start commenting… there is a shortage of billionaires ok,” singer Tamar Braxton wrote.

Diddy and Yung Miami have confirmed their relationship while still both identifying as “single” since going public with their romance, ET reports.

But despite Diddy and Yung Miami confirming their unconventional relationship, the jokes and criticism over Diddy’s baby announcement didn’t stop. By Monday, Yung Miami had enough of staying quiet and took to Twitter to sound off.

“I’M NOBODY SIDE BI*CH LETS [sic] JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR ON THIS GOOD MONDAY! I don’t come 2nd to no bitch!” she wrote.

“Diddy won’t even look half of y’all b*tches way!” she continued. “Majority off y’all praying upon a falling star bi*ch plssssssss!!!!!!!”

She also explained why she still identifies as single.

“I don’t want a man cause all y’all’s be in my dm 🤭,” Yung Miami quipped.

Amid Yung Miami’s Twitter rant, the identity of Diddy’s new baby mama was revealed as Dana Tran, 28, a cybersecurity officer and massage therapist, Page Six reports.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Shut Down ‘Untrue Narrative’ in Response to Netflix Documentary

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are responding to the backlash from their Netflix documentary, which details their exit from the United Kingdom.

The day after part one of Harry and Meghan premiered on Netflix and became the “biggest show of the year in the UK,” as noted by Deadline, a global press secretary for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released an official statement clarifying their roles with the royal family.

“Their statement announcing their decision to step back mentions nothing of privacy and reiterates their desire to continue their roles and public duties,” the press secretary said.

“Any suggestion otherwise speaks to a key point of this series.”

They are choosing to share their story on their terms, and yet the tabloid media has created an entirely untrue narrative that permeates press coverage and public opinion,” they added, noting that “the facts are right in front of them.”

The docuseries provides an inside look into Harry and Meghan’s love story and their experience in the UK that led to the couple stepping back from their duties as senior members of the British royal family in 2020, and their life in the aftermath of that decision.

Shots show Harry and Meghan’s life in the States after leaving London in early 2020. The footage tells the story  of their lives leading up to their romance, marriage, and the birth of their two children, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, 3, and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, 1.

However, many in the UK are upset over the documentary and some of Markle’s mannerisms throughout. UK figures like Piers Morgan took to Twitter soon after the docuseries became available for streaming to bash Markle and her interpretation of royal culture.

Each episode runs a statement saying “Members of the Royal Family declined to comment on the content within this series.” The royal family has remained silent on the docuseries as part two nears its Thursday premiere.

Former CBS News Correspondent Demarco Morgan Fills In For T.J. Holmes On GMA3

T.J. Holmes will be off the air for the time being as a replacement has been brought on to fill his spot on GMA3: What You Need to Know.

As the investigation of the romance between Holmes and co-host Amy Robach continues, both anchors have been replaced, according to US Weekly. Holmes, who is still married, though recently separated, is rumored to have had at least three romantic affairs, and the network is looking to see if any rules were broken by the suspended host.

DeMarco Morgan, a former CBS News correspondent, took over for Holmes and has been co-hosting, along with Stephanie Ramos since Wednesday.

During Friday’s show, Ramos said, “Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to What You Need to Know on this Friday. We’re filling in for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.”

Morgan has been working in the field for more than 20 years and was most recently an anchor for a local CBS show in Santa Monica, CA.

Although ABC executives initially stated that the affair between Holmes and Robach did not violate any company policies, an investigation was launched after it was revealed that Holmes had a previous affair with another staff member. Page Six reported that Holmes was involved in an extramarital romance with producer, Natasha Singh. The news outlet reported that Holmes and Singh had been engaged in an affair for three years, starting back in 2016.

BLACK ENTERPRISE previously reported that, according to The Daily Mail, the two hosts were in a romantic relationship. Although both had separated earlier this summer. Holmes is married to attorney, Marilee Fiebig, while Robach is married to Melrose Place actor, Andrew Shue.

According to The New York Post, the romance with Robach may be his third, at minimum, at the morning show. Now that his relationships have been discovered, sources have stated that the human resources department is trying to see if Holmes was romantic with anyone else who wasn’t on the same corporate level as him.

“It’s one thing for him to have a relationship with another anchor,” an insider stated. “The question is whether he violated company rules by dating less senior employees.”

The real estate maven went on to share a warning to women who might find themselves in similar encounters.

Patti LaBelle Rushed Off Stage by Security Due to Bomb Threat in Milwaukee

During a performance in Milwaukee over the weekend, soul diva Patti LaBelle was rushed off stage because of a bomb threat.

According to Entertainment Tonight, while LaBelle was on stage talking to fans at the Riverside Theater Milwaukee concert on Saturday, the 78-year-old was removed from the stage by security. While standing on the stage, she was perplexed and seemed irritated that the men approached her.

Organizers of the concert released a statement via a Facebook page explaining the reason for the ending of LaBelle’s performance that evening. “Tonight’s Patti LaBelle show at the Riverside Theater has been postponed following a bomb threat investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department.”

“We are thankful for the efforts of the Milwaukee Police Department and our customers and staff for their safe and orderly exit.”

“We are working with the artist to reschedule the show.”

The Milwaukee Police Department also released a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

“An establishment received a phone call that there were explosives in [the] facility. The building was safely evacuated and searched by MPD K-9 units,” the statement read. “No explosive devices were located. This is an ongoing investigation. MPD continues to seek unknown suspects.”

Rolling Stone also reported they received a statement from Milwaukee Police Capt. Warren E. Allen Jr. in an email. He reiterated that everyone was “safely evacuated” from the theater that is located “in the 100 block of W. Wisconsin.”

An attendee at the concert, Scott Pierce spoke to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about what transpired at the show that evening.

“It happened so quickly. Everybody very calmly exited the theater in a disbelieving manner. I heard lots of comments about how sad it was that someone would pull such a pathetic stunt. Before the incident, the crowd was really enjoying Patti. Just sad that someone does this.”

Lawsuit Filed After Black Band Students Were Allegedly Forced to Sit at Back of Bus During School Trip

A former student is seeking compensation after filing a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination from her high school’s district in Iowa.

A recent lawsuit has reportedly been filed following a 2021 incident where three Black Waukee high school students were allegedly forced to ride home in the back of the bus from a band trip.

According to The Iowa Capital Dispatch, the lawsuit, filed by the now-former student, Bailey Hilson, who was a high school senior at the time, alleges that a white parent chaperoning the trip instigated an altercation with the Black students that eventually became physical. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that the school district’s investigation of the incident, conducted by Assistant Principal Christie Pitts, failed to adequately address Hilson’s emotional distress.

In a letter sent to the district’s superintendent in December 2021, the Black students, members of the Northwest High School band’s color guard, headed to the bus before the conclusion of the competition’s awards ceremony, which allegedly caused the parent volunteer to become unsettled by the students’ “disgraceful” gesture toward their teammates.

With permission from the band director, the Black students, along with two other white students, gathered on the bus before the parent chaperone ordered them to get off, dismissed the white students, and confronted the remaining Black students with another white parent.

The incident escalated after one student tried to leave to locate the band director and the parent allegedly grabbed his arm to keep him from leaving, causing a heated exchange between Hilson and the parent.

The parent “responded by ‘getting in the face’ of Hilson, shouting at her, and thumping her in the forehead with her finger,” wrote Jerry Foxhoven, the Des Moines attorney representing Hilson.

Reportedly, the students requested to not ride back to Waukee on the bus with the parent volunteers.

“This mature and reasonable request was denied, and the three Black students were instructed to ‘sit in the back of the bus’ and not interact with the adults on the way home,” Foxhoven wrote. “This direction…created a pathetic scene reminiscent of our nation’s history of segregation in public transportation. The students, left with no other choice, followed instructions.”

“We regret the breakdown in the system that led to this event,” said the message, which was signed by the school’s two band directors.

“You can be assured that we are taking proactive steps with administration to help ensure that such an incident does not happen again.”

The Des Moines Register reported that, according to the school district, the students were not at fault, and Pitts concluded the parent volunteer grabbed or touched two students.

The lawsuit says Hilson “suffered severe emotional distress, causing her to miss school, struggle with depression and feel isolated and unsupported at school, causing her to miss the true joy normally experienced by a student in their senior year of high school.”

The lawsuit names the school district, Superintendent Brad Buck, and former Principal Fairouz Bishara-Rantisi as defendants, but not the parent volunteers.

HBCU Fayetteville State University Wants to Increase the Number of Black Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners

HBCU Fayetteville State University Wants to Increase the Number of Black Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners

Sharita Godwin works in a North Carolina hospital that doesn’t have a single Black nurse who is trained to administer a forensic exam for sexual assault victims.

NBC News reports Godwin joined seven other Black nurses as part of the Fayetteville State University‘s first class of aspiring sexual assault nurse examiners. The training, which took place this fall over several multi-day sessions, focused on treating patients in crisis, including collecting forensic evidence for law enforcement and preventing STDs or pregnancy.

Godwin, who has been an E.R. nurse at the Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC for almost a decade, told NBC she trained to become certified in sexual assault exams to support some of the hospital’s most vulnerable patients.

“It makes you feel a little bit more comfortable,” Godwin, 36, said of patients seeing a nurse who looks like them.

“The patient might be more willing to open up.”

The training was organized by Dr. Sheila Cannon, the associate dean of the school of nursing at Fayetteville State, with funding from the state legislature. Even though 20% of North Carolina residents are Black, according to census records, nurses trained to examine sexual assault victims are overwhelmingly white, according to Jennifer Pierce-Weeks, the CEO of the International Association of Forensic Nursing.

More Black female forensic examiners are needed across the country. According to the American Psychological Association (APA) for every Black woman who reports a rape, at least 15 others do not report it. Additionally, one in four Black girls will be sexually abused before the age of 18, and one in five Black women are survivors of rape.

The Fayette State training program was the first Pierce-Weeks had heard about at an HBCU school, and hopes other HBCUs institute similar training to diversify the field of sexual assault nurse examiners.

“What Fayetteville State is doing is critically important and a huge step,” Pierce-Weeks said, “because I feel like nursing, in general, is struggling with this.”

One month after Derrick Jaxn’s wife put a curse on those criticizing her marriage, the relationship guru announced his divorce.

Amid the shocking photos, Jaxn decided it was time to let the public know that he and Da’Naia have been separated since earlier this year.

“Over the past several months, my family and I have gone through many changes,” Jaxn captioned his post.

“Some of you have speculated while others of you have reached out to offer support as we privately established this new normal for ourselves and our beautiful children.” Jaxn continued:

“Earlier this year after much prayer, counseling, and deep consideration, we decided to go our separate ways and filed for divorce,” he revealed.

“Making the decision to file was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but I’ve found peace knowing that our mission of raising healthy children, starting with healthy and whole parents is still being accomplished.”

Jaxn went on to recall his high school love story with Da’Naia, which resulted in marriage and children.

“From falling in love as just teenagers, to becoming spouses and now co-parents, I’m grateful for the years we’ve spent together and wouldn’t trade them for anything,” he shared. “I was blessed to have such an amazing person in my life and will forever be thankful for all she’s meant to our family.”

The self-certified relationship guru ended his post asking for prayers and support as his family adjusts to the changes.

“We ask that if you pray, to please pray for us as we navigate this grieving process. If not, please respect our privacy,” he wrote.

Jaxn’s divorce announcement comes one month after Da’Naia took to social media to post a prayer-filled rant cursing anyone who spoke negatively about her marriage.

“Every person speaking against the names Da’Naia Jackson and Derrick Jaxn in mockery, accusations, slanders, and lies, may the mercies of God be withdrawn from you,” Jackson declared in the video.

“May your husbands and wives become widows. Let your children become fatherless.”

“Let your seed become vagabonds on the earth,” she continued. “Let the words of your mouth and the work of your hands be returned back to you. Let it go down your throat and choke you slowly until your days become few on the earth.”

Atlanta Nurses Reportedly Removed After Sharing Their ‘Icks’ When It Comes to Maternity Patients

Atlanta Nurses Reportedly Removed After Sharing Their ‘Icks’ When It Comes to Maternity Patients

These nurses chose the wrong way to poke fun at their job.

Four labor and delivery nurses at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta were criticized for participating in a video where they shared the things about mothers and their families that they find annoying.

According to Today, the nurses posted a now-deleted video to TikTok, sharing their version of the popular trend where users reveal their “icks,” or turnoffs, about someone or something.

“My ick is when you come in for your induction, talking about, ‘Can I take a shower and eat?’” one nurse said.

“My ick is when you ask me how much the baby weighs and it’s still in your hands,” a second nurse said.

In the video, another nurse shared that her “ick” is when the mother refuses pain medication “but you are at an eight out of 10 pain.”

“The dad comes outside and asks for a paternity test right outside the room door,” another nurse chimed in.

One of the Atlanta hospital’s nurses recalled how family members approach the nurse’s station “every five minutes.” The nurse also mentioned a father “going room to room between one baby mama” and the “other baby mama.”

Emory Healthcare deemed the video as disrespectful and unprofessional, saying it did not represent their “commitment to patient-family-centered care.”

“We are aware of a TikTok video that included disrespectful and unprofessional comments about maternity patients at Emory University Hospital Midtown,” the company said in an Instagram post.

“Every patient at Emory Healthcare deserves to be cared for by a compassionate, experienced team in a comfortable and safe environment,” the company said.

The Washington Post reported that social media principles under the American Nurses Association recommend nurses to avoid heavy self-promotion and to always maintain a respectable presence.

“Patients who are well-supported…do much better and have better outcomes. These kind of comments make you worried if patients are being listened to,” Uma M. Reddy, an obstetrics and gynecology professor at Columbia University, told the outlet regarding the TikTok video.

According to Emory Healthcare, the situation has been investigated and appropriate actions have been taken against the now-former employees who participated in the video.
