Black Voices For Trump Member Indicted In Georgia Is Also Charged With Assaulting Federal Officer

A Donald Trump co-defendant in the Georgia Election case who surrendered to police Thursday also faces charges of assaulting an FBI agent in Maryland.

ABC News reports Harrison William Prescott Floyd, who is active with the group Black Voices For Trump, turned himself in on charges that he conspired with the former president and 16 others to overturn Trump’s election loss. However, in May, he was also arrested on a federal warrant in Maryland, accusing him of aggressively confronting two FBI agents who attempted to serve him a grand jury subpoena.

According to court records, the agents went to Floyd’s apartment in Rockville, called him, and told him they had a subpoena to serve him. Floyd told the agents he wasn’t home. When he arrived at his building with his daughter, he walked past them without taking the warrant one of the agents held out for him.

According to an affidavit by FBI agent Dennis McGrail, the agents followed Floyd as he walked to his apartment. Floyd then told the agents he didn’t know them, and they didn’t show him any identification indicating they were federal officers. As he closed his apartment door, one of the agents slipped the subpoena between the door.

As the agents were leaving the building, Floyd came out of his apartment rushing at them, screaming and cursing at the agents. Floyd encountered one of the agents in the stairwell, “striking him chest to chest” and knocking him backward, the affidavit says. He then repeated the action and jabbed his finger into the agent’s chest as he screamed at him.

Floyd finally backed down when the other agent pulled out his badge and pulled his suit jacket back to show a holstered weapon. Floyd returned to his apartment, called the local authorities, and reported two men threatened him.

Court records do not indicate why Floyd was served with a grand jury subpoena, but it is believed to be connected to Special Counsel Jack Smith calling witnesses before a federal grand jury that indicted Trump earlier this month for trying to overturn his election loss.

Floyd was charged with simple assault of a federal officer. Unlike the other defendants in the Georgia election case, Floyd is currently being held without bond. Court records do not list an attorney for Floyd in the Georgia case, but his attorney in the Maryland federal case is Carlos J.R. Salvado.

Floyd was forced to surrender his passport as a pre-trial condition in the Maryland federal case.

Ni**as 4 Trump’ Fall Into Sunken Place: ‘We Should Make Him King’

A former New York State gubernatorial candidate has gone viral for proudly declaring himself as the leader of the “Ni**as 4 Trump 2024” movement.

Derrick Gibson, a proud Republican who ran for governor of New York but was disqualified from the Republican primary scheduled on June 28, 2022, has now geared his efforts toward supporting Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid despite his recent arrest on felony charges in connection with efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.

A video circulating on social media shows Gibson wearing his “NI**AS 4 TRUMP” t-shirt and blasting the former president’s four indictments on racketeering charges along with 18 co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows.

Gibson was standing outside Fulton County jail in Atlanta, where Trump was arrested and booked on Thursday, Aug. 24. He reposted the video to this Facebook page to announce the controversial t-shirts would be “on sale tomorrow.”

“I’m here to support President Trump,” Gibson says before explaining why he supports the former Commander-In-Chief amid his recent arrest and mug shot that was made public on Thursday.

“You wanna know why I support President Trump? Because they done did Black men like this for decades,” he declared.

“Make up charges so I know Trump is innocent.”

The failed New York gubernatorial candidate called out the “corrupt, two-tiered justice system” he feels is on a witch hunt against the former president and proudly showed off his controversial t-shirt.

“That’s why I’m here to show my support as a Black man for Trump and I’m wearing my shirt ‘NI**AS 4 TRUMP 2024,” he said.

Gibson blasted Trump’s current indictment as “bullsh*t” and Fani Willis, the district attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, leading the investigation into the former president. According to Gibson, Fani went to school with his sister and became “a puppet for the white liberal.”

The former political hopeful also believes the indictments will only strengthen support for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. In fact, Gibson thinks Trump should be “king.” When asked for his name, Gibson proudly referred to himself as “Ni**as for Trump 2024.”

That’s when a fellow Trump supporter who happens to be white called Gibson the N-word.

“That’s my ni**a,” the white man said while pointing at Gibson.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Kanye West’s Former Publicist Trevian Kutti’s Mugshot Released, Named In Trump Election Fraud Indictment

The story of former President Donald Trump‘s election fraud indictment gets more bizarre with each new revelation.

Ahead of the deadline set forth by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for all those named for their involvement in the attempt to overthrow the 2020 Georgia presidential election, a new key character has been revealed.

Kanye West‘s former publicist, Trevian Kutti, surrendered to authorities in Fulton County on Friday, August 25. West infamously put his support behind Trump; donning a “Make America Great Again” hat while visiting the right-wing president at The White House in 2018. The “Touch The Sky” rapper would go on to refer to Trump as a “father figure” before going on a racially charged tirade in which he referred to slavery as “a choice.”

According to the BBC, Kutti was no longer affiliated with West at the time that she took part in the conspiracy to overthrow the election.

“Trevian Kutti was not associated with Kanye West or any of his enterprises at the times of the facts that are reported in these articles or since these facts occurred,” said Pierre Rougier, a spokesperson for the rapper.

The 98-page court document that details the involvement of all those named in the lawsuit alleges that Kutti was recruited by the leader of Black Voices for Trump, Harrison Floyd, to travel to Atlanta and contact Ruby Freeman, an election worker who would find herself at the center of attacks from the former president and his supporters.

According to the BBC, Freeman would be accused of being a “professional vote scammer” and “political operative” by Trump after the 2020 election. Conservatives would go on to accuse Freeman as well as her daughter, Shaye Moss, of inputting 18,000 false ballots for President Joe Biden into election machines. Both Moss and Freeman denied any such allegations.

Kutti met with Freeman at a Cobb County Police Department on January 4, 2021, where she allegedly threatened her safety and attempted to coerce her into confessing to the alleged scheme. Under the indictmen,t she faces a charge of conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings.

Meet the Texas Couple Behind Some of Oprah’s Favorite Cookies

A few of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite things include cookies from this Texas couple’s business.

According to Fox Business, the masterminds behind the delicious cookie recipe that Oprah loves are entrepreneurs Marissa and Jeff Allen, the co-founders of Cookie Society.

The couple founded their gourmet cookie company after tasting what they called “one of the best cookies” they had ever eaten while on a trip to New York City in 2017. The cookie from a popular NYC bakery inspired them to produce their own unique cookie recipes when they returned to their North Texas hometown. “I asked her if she could make it for me at home, so she went home and tried to figure out how to make the recipe,” Jeff said.

The Allens launched Cookie Society in 2018 with six cookies on the menu, which included the Banana Pudding cookie that started it all. “At the time, I looked online, and no one had ever made a banana pudding cookie,” Jeff said. “It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever eaten.”

Marissa said her husband’s NFL teammates were the early taste testers for the cookies. During Jeff’s time as an offensive lineman for the Houston Texans, he would ask his teammates to give feedback on the cookies. The couple opened their first brick-and-mortar location following Jeff’s leave from the NFL in 2019. After raking in loads of positive feedback, the couple was hit up by Oprah and later considered for her “Favorite Things” list. According to the company’s website, the Allens’s cookies made it on Oprah’s list in 2020 during the holiday season.

Since its official opening, the couple has whipped up over 70 cookie recipes and opened two storefronts in North Texas.

Cookie Society offers a variety of cookie pack options and nationwide shipping. Customers who can’t get enough of the Allen recipes can choose a subscription plan and have the sweet treats delivered monthly.

The Richest Jamaican-Born Woman Shares Story Of Abuse And Poverty

Trisha Bailey is the richest Jamaican-born woman in history.

The mother of five achieved financial success by developing a small medical supply business in Orlando, Florida, into a large empire spanning five states. Bailey’s path to success, and a $700 million dollar net worth, was filled with distressing experiences. Through it all, Bailey’s faith did not waver.

Bailey was brought up in an impoverished home in St. Elizabeth, where she endured revolting experiences. A survivor of sexual abuse from her teen years and domestic violence in her adulthood, Bailey shared her experiences in a memoir titled Unbroken: The Triumphant Story of a Woman’s Journey.

According to NBC News, Bailey recently held a book signing at Martha’s Vineyard where she discussed the book. Previously, she had not shared her experiences with many up until this point. Bailey’s story quickly moved the audience (and Bailey) to tears.

Bailey became a stockbroker on Wall Street after attending college. She then became a pharmaceutical sales representative. At the time, she was also in four abusive relationships.

After a near-death experience 13 years ago, Bailey was in a coma for eight days. Once she was discharged from the hospital in Los Angeles, she was disoriented while waiting for a connecting flight to her home in Florida. As a stranger helped Bailey to her gate, this sparked a business idea while she was sitting in a wheelchair—Bailey’s Medical Equipment and Supplies. Bailey launched the company, which distributes medical supplies to Medicare patients, in 2011.

Bailey has built herself an empire. She’s a founder of 15 companies and a global real estate owner. She has stakes in the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, and Phoenix Suns. Bailey has donated millions of dollars to different organizations, including the largest donation in the history of UConn athletics, where she ran track and field.

“I know that my business success is not normal,” Bailey said. “I know it is a blessing from God, like my entire life. But having grace and being kind and caring and loving blesses your business.”

Bailey has sought therapy and attributes her healing process to eye movement desensitization and eprocessing, a therapeutic process to help people heal from symptoms and emotional distress caused by adverse experiences.

Ayanna Pressley

Rep. Ayanna Pressley Wants Receipts For Racial Equity Initiatives By Big Banks

A Black House Democrat is demanding to see receipts from big banks that promiseds to improve racial equity after the murder of George Floyd. On Wednesday, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass. put the pressure on JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America, U.S. Bancorp, and Wells Fargo, NBC reported.

Pressley wants to know that the bank’s promises to help Blacks after the social unrest in 2020 were not all talk and no show. The news outlet reported that she requested the banks provide a “comprehensive financial audit report.” The financial institutions have until Oct. 23.

The House Democrat knows Black lives still matter, and there is still work to be done to dismantle the systems that have oppressed the community for so long. She told NBC, “Whether you’re talking about redlining or denying credit for Black homebuyers and entrepreneurs, or closing brick-and-mortar banks in Black communities, Black folks have historically been denied opportunities to grow wealth, to achieve financial prosperity.”

Big changes call for big moves. Pressley also spoke about the amount of damage done to the Black community. “The harm was very precise. The work of restorative justice, of racial justice, of justice for Black Americans, has to be just as precise,” she told NBC.

Presley is a Democrat in a Republican-dominated House. But she isn’t shy about advocating for what is right and hopes the banks will be the same. The House leader told the news outlet, “You have to first just lay it out there.” She added that the banks “will be responsive. They want to be on the right side of history.”

NBC reported none of the banks have commented.

Pressley is known as a powerhouse. Black Enterprise previously reported the House Democrat gave a passionate speech to the youth at the NAACP Juanita Mitchell Gala. She said, “Sent to Washington with a mandate by the people, where I can sit at the policy and decision-making tables, I can take up space in the corridors of power, I can take up space as an unapologetically Black, bald Black woman.”

The theme was the Black Met Gala: All Shades of Blackness, BE reported.

Forget Netflix N’ Chill, See A Movie For $4 On National Cinema Day

If you have no plans this weekend and want to see a movie, wait until Sunday.

According to The Associated Press, the second annual National Cinema Day will take place August 27. You can purchase a movie ticket for just $4 but you have to go to a participating theater. To get an idea of how much money you could save, In 2022, the New York Times reported that the average cost of a movie ticket was—gulp—$11.75.

More than 3,000 theaters are participating in this promotion by the non-profit organization, The Cinema Foundation, which is supported by major movie theater chains.

Variety reported that last year’s National Cinema Day took place Sept. 3, 2022. With ticket prices at $3, there were an estimated 8.1 million moviegoers who took advantage of the price point. That day turned out to be the highest-attended day of 2022, according to the National Association of Theater Owners.

Movie theaters continue to struggle economically post-COVID. According to Variety, box office is 16.6% ahead of 2022 but 5.4% below 2019, citing Comscore. (Variety also noted that all the extra moviegoers helps with concessions.)

“Following the rousing success of the first annual National Cinema Day, we welcome everyone to join us for the communal experience of one of America’s favorite pastimes—moviegoing,” said Jackie Brenneman, president of the Cinema Foundation.

“We look forward to gathering at the movies and celebrating an exciting slate of new releases and classics, from beloved family favorites and outrageous comedies to thought-provoking dramas and thrilling adventures. There’s something for everyone.”

If you haven’t seen the hit comedy Barbie or any other current movies like the biopic Oppenheimer, Blue Beetle or new releases like Gran Turismo, Golda, Bottoms, and Retribution, Sunday is the ideal time to see these movies.
