Conservative Media Figure Claims Free Speech Violation After Being Booted From Black Joy Fest

As videos of her started to circulate across social media, users were laughing at her for her attempt to rattle up a reaction but the spotlight was more so on Black people who engaged with Bennett.

Conservative media personality and gun rights activist Kaitlin Bennett tried to cause a scene, claiming her First Amendment rights were being violated after she set up shop at the 5th Annual Black Joy Festival in Orlando, asking seemingly uncomfortable questions to attendees.

The host of the Liberty Hangout channel on YouTube started asking questions to the majority of Black festival attendees in August 2025 switching the vibes from joy to controversy by bringing up the question, “What’s the first word that comes to mind when you hear the name Donald Trump?” and changing the topic to anti-abortion while people were attempting to engage with her about organ and tissue donation. After a festivalgoer challenged her about why she was bringing up President Trump and alerted security to her disturbance, things became nasty.

Bennett recorded a City of Orlando employee asking her to leave at the request of attendees. Law enforcement was also seen — and heard — telling her that her time was up.

https://twitter.com/KaitMarieox/status/1960125034997158274

Bennett first came on the scene in 2018 after she was seen carrying an AR-10 rifle to her Kent State University graduation in Ohio, garnering the nickname “Gun Girl.” Since her rise to internet fame, the mom of two is often seen engaging with people who propose opposite viewpoints from hers, known for causing scenes.

As videos of her started to circulate across social media, users were laughing at her for her attempt to rattle up a reaction, but the spotlight was more so on Black people who engaged with Bennett, prompting users to inquire why they gave her any attention. “Why even talk to a white woman at a Black Joy Festival anyway? She is looking for a viral moment,” @nancypants.eats wrote on Threads.

While Bennett argued that her right to free speech was violated, TikTok users say differently. “She’s wrong. If they paid the city to rent that specific park then she cannot be there. That’s like renting out a venue owned by the city for your particular event, you control who and what can be there,” @demkidsmom5 said.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time the personality has been booted from an event on allegations of harassment, having somewhat of a reputation for it. Bennett was seen getting into a verbal altercation with the executive director of the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority, Julie Townsend, for interviewing individuals at Lakeland Farmers Curb Market in mid-May 2025, according to The Ledger. Townsend was first seen asking Bennett to move out of the street onto the sidewalk to continue interviews. The media personality refused, so Townsend can be heard saying, “Well then, I’ll just disrupt you.”

The director later returned while Gun Girl interviewed two Black women — using the talking point for whether “White people harm America” — saying the group was obstructing foot traffic and a vendor’s booth.

A Pair Of 1,600-Year-Old Christian Churches Discovered In Egypt

A mural depicting Jesus Christ healing the sick was also found

A recent discovery has revealed that two churches in Egypt are over 1,600 years old, located in the Kharga Oasis, an ancient settlement about 350 miles southwest of Cairo.

According to the Facebook page of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, archaeologists recently unearthed the churches in July. It was also revealed that there are many ancient Christian remains, including cemeteries and other churches. Along with the religious institutions, several residential buildings that were made of mudbrick were also found, with some walls still retaining plaster.

Both churches date back to the early Coptic era, Egypt’s Christianization period, which began in the 4th century A.D. One of the buildings was a grand basilica made of mudbrick, with the remnants of a large hall and two aisles, according to officials. While the other smaller church had a rectangular layout and was surrounded “by the remains of seven external columns.”

Dr. Siham Ismail, general director of External Archaeological Archives and Head of the Mission, led the mission of the discovery site by the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

She stated that most of the buildings seen at the site indicate that the area was used through several historical eras. They discovered that buildings from the Roman era were found and reused in the early Coptic period, as well as in the Islamic era.

The mission was also able to unearth the remains of the main residential city of the Outdoors Oasis.

“The Egyptian archaeological mission from the Supreme Council for Archaeological and Worker in Ain Al-Kharab region in the area of the Islamic and Coptic Outdoors Oasis in the New Valley, was able to unearth the remains of the main residential city of the Outdoors Oasis, which witnessed the period of conversion from paganism to Christianity.”

Among some of the findings discovered during the mission was the unveiling of a mural depicting Jesus Christ healing the sick.

Walmart Employee In Indianapolis Beaten By A Group Of Women Over An Alleged Rape

A now-viral video captured a wild brawl between one Walmart employee and a group of angry women.

A now-viral video shows a violent encounter between a Walmart employee and a group of women in Indianapolis, Indiana, reportedly over allegations of rape.

Tikerra Hicks, who wasn’t involved in the alleged sexual assault but is reportedly friends with both the accused and the victim, was at work when she began receiving calls about the incident, Fox 59 reported. After returning to her cash register from the bathroom, Hicks was confronted by a group of women demanding to know the whereabouts of the alleged rapist.

“I just hear, ‘There she go’ and then boom on the side of my head, I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks said.

Walmart shopper Kind Butler witnessed the brawl and recorded the incident, later sharing the video on Facebook.

“It was instantly on site,” Butler said. “There wasn’t any questioning, no anything. Just as soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up.”

https://twitter.com/Edie_Cornelius1/status/1962577808904905001

Employees managed to pull Hicks away, as seen in the video, while two bystanders helped hold back the attackers, who continued shouting insults as the video ended. Hicks is listed as an “other person” in a Beech Grove police report related to a rape investigation, but she maintains the allegations are false. She says she’s known the accuser for years and is still unsure why she became the target of the attack.

“(The alleged rape) have nothing to do with me,” Hicks said. “I wasn’t there, even if it did happen, to protect he. And I wasn’t there to defend him either.”

”I haven’t talked to any officers besides after the fight,” she added.

Although Hicks was the victim of the violent attack captured on video, she said Walmart has suspended her. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Walmart has since released a statement denouncing the violence that took place at its North Indianapolis location.

“The violence that occurred at our store on Friday was unacceptable,” the spokesperson said. “We appreciate police for acting quickly.”

Black TikToker Gets Revenge On Racist Troll That Disrupted His Livestream By Calling Him N-Word

The TikToker revealed that he knows everything about the man who racially harassed him.

A Black TikToker got his lick back against a racist troll that previously harassed him on his livestream by calling him the n-word.

When the racist man initially disrupted the content creator’s video, he did not realize the man’s significant platform. The gaming TikToker, known on the internet as “Tamo,” was on his livestream talking innocently about Pokémon cards and video games when the white guy decided to hurl the slur at him.

The incident gained traction online, leading Tamo to teach the man about cyberbullying and racial harassment. The man did not realize who he was up against, as Tamo has amassed a significant following on multiple social media apps, including more than 180,000 followers on TikTok.

With the instrumental version of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Meet The Grahams” rightfully playing in the background, Tamo began to artfully drag the man who decided to troll his video. The TikTok video went viral on the platform, garnering over 21 million views since its release on August 31.

@norratamo 🙂 #racism ♬ original sound – tamo

“To the white guy that called me a slur over and over again in my live stream the other night for no reason. Guess what? You’re going to get kicked out of the United States Navy. You know how they tell us that we should be careful what we do on social media, because there could be real-life consequences. Hi, my name is real life consequence.”

Tamo did not hold back in his takedown of the racist troll. Despite not naming names, the influencer began listing details about the disruptor’s life and profession, noting that he knows the disruptor’s hometown in Texas and their disciplinary records.

“I’ve done a thorough background check, and now I know everything about you. I know what little town in Texas you’re from. I know your name, your phone number, and your email address. I’ve seen your disciplinary records. I know the names of all of your family members, including your dead mother and your daughter, who turns two next week, and her mother, who’s gonna have to pay for all the birthday presents this year.”

Tamo revealed how, after the man had harassed him and called him slurs, he proceeded to go on another livestream to talk about God and the Bible. Emphasizing the man’s hypocrisy, he asserted that he had all the evidence needed to disrupt his life, just as he had during his livestream.

“Because you came into my live stream and saw a Black man who was talking about Pokémon cards and video games, and you assumed, yeah, he’s not gonna do anything if I call him slurs repeatedly, even though he’s trying to help me. Turns out, I am gonna do something. Turns out there are so many things I can do because I have all the screenshots, I have all of the recordings.”

Tamo also believes it’s too late to apologize. He added that the man will have no point of refuge from his actions once Tamo completes his mission to unveil his racist heart. He hinted at possibly sending the clips to the Black sailors on his boat in the Navy while promising to get the evidence in the hands of the Naval Inspector General’s Office.

“I know exactly which boat in the Navy you serve on, and I know the names of Black sailors who serve on the same boat as you. Maybe I’ll send the clips to them as well, but only after I send them to the Naval inspector general’s office, because I’m getting you fired. I’m getting you kicked out of the Navy. There’s nothing you can do to stop me.”

The content creator checked the racist troll for his unnecessary antics. Now, he’s taking accountability up a notch for the wrongdoing, all while making other racists think twice before harassing people online.

Shedeur Sanders Speaks Life Into Dad, Deion, After Losing First Game Of Season

'As SANDERS MEN we have to regroup'

With the constant attention that the Sanders’ typically get, after a Colorado Buffaloes loss over the weekend, NFL quarterback and third son of head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur, sent words of encouragement to his father and brother, Shilo, in a private text message.

Not that the Sanders are mired in disappointment and shame, but the recent cutting of Shilo from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, combined with Shedeur being named the No. 3 quarterback in a pool of three, AND the recent collegiate loss by the Buffaloes (to the Gerogia Tech Blue Jackets football team by the score of 27-20), the Sanders collective may need a hug.

However, instead of a hug, Sheduer, who is set to start his professional football career this upcoming weekend when the NFL begins the 2025-2026 season, left a message that may help the clan at this time.

Deion’s oldest son, his namesake, posted the private message (from his media account, welloffforever) sent in the group chat for all the world to see. From the message, he is reminding his family about who they are.

“Why @shedeursanders text this is the group chat after we loss yesterday? It’s been a rough couple weeks for the Sanders”

“As SANDERS MEN, we have to regroup,” was the message sent by Shedeur.

Shedeur also took to his social media account to assure fans that the team will bounce back because they have a “great head coach.”

Losing the game and not having both his sons on the team is not the only barrier Deion is facing. Over the summer, the head coach announced to the world that he had been battling bladder cancer, which kept him sidelined for several months as he sought a treatment plan for the illness. He has assured the media that he is now cancer-free after recent treatment.

Following Attack From Mom’s Boyfriend, Bronx Baby Clings To Life

Court papers stated that Imani-Dior was placed on a ventilator

A baby from the Bronx, Imani-Dior Monique Mitchell, is fighting for her life after she was repeatedly hit in the head by Jerome Thomas, the boyfriend of the baby’s mother.

According to The New York Daily News, one-year-old Imani-Dior is in the hospital after police officers responding to a 911 phone call discovered her semiconscious. She was taken to Harlem Hospital after officers arrived around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 28, after being beaten by the 19-year-old Thomas, who is the boyfriend of 25-year-old LeNesha Mitchell, the girl’s mother. Thomas has been charged with felony assault and child endangerment.

Imani-Dior was initially listed in critical but stable condition. Her face and head were badly swollen, especially around her bruised left eye. When officers responded to the 911 call, she was struggling to breathe.

“This is like something out of a movie,” Mitchell said. “She was the light; she changed me. She made me feel more confident about myself as a first-time mother. I was learning from her. She was happy, smart, funny.”

Mitchell’s sister, who did not identify herself, told the media outlet that Imani-Dior is “basically brain-dead” and the family had 24 hours to determine what they were going to do.

“When she went into the ambulance, she was stable and still breathing on her own, but she was going into shock and having difficulty breathing,” she said. “We have 24 hours to figure out what we are going to do. My niece is basically brain-dead.”

Court papers stated that Imani-Dior was placed on a ventilator and life support and had extensive subdural hemorrhaging on the right side of her head. Swelling and intracranial pressure caused brain herniation, where doctors removed part of her skull to relieve the pressure, due to the injuries she suffered.

Thomas did admit to the police that he struck the girl, claiming he hit her twice on the side of the head with a “heavy hand.” He was arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court and ordered held without bail; he is due back in court on Sept. 4.

LeNesha said she had been dating Thomas for four months, but he is not Imani-Dior’s father.

THAT’S WASSUP! 16 Black Quarterbacks Are Starting Week 1 In The NFL

This breaks last season's record of 15 starting Black quarterbacks

Last football season, a record 15 Black quarterbacks were starters for NFL teams, and this year, that record will be broken, as there are 16 Black football players slated to start the season as their team’s starting quarterback.

According to USA Today, as the NFL prepares to open the 2025-2026 season, 16 Black men are at the position most sports enthusiasts consider the most important one on the gridiron. Those players are Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, Geno Smith, Jayden Daniels, Lamar Jackson, Spencer Rattler, C.J. Stroud, Cam Ward, Justin Fields, Bryce Young, Jordan Love, Michael Penix, Jr., Caleb Williams, and C.J. Stroud.

https://twitter.com/_MLFootball/status/1962214287893725296

With 32 NFL franchises, that’s 50% of the league with Black starting quarterbacks.

The first Black quarterback to win a Super Bowl (Super Bowl XXII), Doug Williams, stated that he predicted this feat would take place less than two years ago.

“I said about a year and a half ago, half the league gonna be Black quarterbacks before long. I said probably within the next five years, and it happened before five years,” Doug Williams said to the media outlet. “If you write the top quarterback in the league, I think the majority of them would be Black.”

The quarterback position, many years ago, was considered too pivotal and too thought-provoking for Black athletes, as that narrative has been evidently altered in recent years.

CBS Sports reported that the past three seasons have been record years for starting Black quarterbacks in the NFL. At the start of the 2023 season, there were 14 Black signal callers at the helm for their teams, then 15 that started the 2024 NFL season.

The latest season starts Sept. 4 with the Dallas Cowboys’ Prescott starting at the quarterback position against the Philadelphia Eagles’ Hurts as the opposing quarterback. The game will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania, as the Eagles will defend the title they won against the Kansas City Chiefs last season in a matchup that featured two opposing Black quarterbacks for the second time, since the two quarterbacks made history as the first Black quarterbacks to face each other in 2023.

Alleged Proud Boys Member Admits to Racist, Violent Threats Against Black Philly Residents

Alleged Proud Boys member in Philadelphia admits to tormenting Black residents with racist, violent threats.

A Philadelphia man and alleged Proud Boys member has pleaded guilty to making racist, violent threats against Black City of Philadelphia employees and a Black motorist.

The Department of Justice reported that Mark Anthony Tucci, 44, pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to multiple federal charges for making racist, violent threats against Black residents and city employees. Appearing before U.S. District Judge Gerald A. McHugh, Tucci admitted to counts including threats with a dangerous weapon, cyberstalking, and interfering with federally protected rights.

Tucci’s guilty plea follows his January arrest, stemming from multiple incidents in which he targeted and threatened Black residents. Reports indicate a June 2024 incident where he threatened to go to a city agency and “hurt everyone,” obtained a Black employee’s home address, repeatedly used racial slurs, and claimed affiliation with the white nationalist group, the Proud Boys.

According to the criminal complaint, the agency employee who received Tucci’s texts “feared that Tucci would find them and seriously injure or kill them or their family.” As a result, the employee began carrying mace and changed their routines for months, out of fear that Tucci might be following them.

In a separate incident, Tucci drove alongside a Black female motorist in heavy traffic on Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia, shouting racist threats at her.

“I’m going to kill you [racial expletive]! I’m going to shoot you!” Tucci said before throwing a glass mug that dented her car.

Following his arrest, investigators discovered a PDF of “The Great Replacement” on Tucci’s iCloud account, the 74-page manifesto by Brenton Tarrant, who killed 51 people and injured dozens at two New Zealand mosques in 2019.

The prosecution’s guilty plea memorandum also said investigators located “videos celebrating white supremacist accelerationism and Neo-Nazism, including multiple videos celebrating Nazi salutes and Hitler; racist images and memes; and songs from a white supremacist rapper that include numerous references to [killing Black people] and creating an all-white society.”

Following the guilty plea, the U.S. Attorney’s Office has announced plans to pursue hate crime charges against Tucci, which is being supported by the Philadelphia chapter of Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR-Philadelphia).

“We commend federal prosecutors for recognizing the hate-fueled nature of these threats and bringing the appropriate hate crime charges,” CAIR-Philadelphia Executive Director Ahmet Tekelioglu said. “No one should live in fear because of the color of their skin or face threats aimed at silencing them.”

Delaware State University Secures $750K Grant To Revolutionize STEM Teaching

The opportunity will bring more resources and educators in STEM to the HBCU.

Delaware State University is already off to a great school year with its latest grant.

The HBCU has received nearly $750k in a STEM teaching grant to bring more qualified educators to campus. DSU announced the news on Aug.29, confirming their lofty award of $749,968 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Track 1 Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Grant.

The scholarship grant will support teachers as they build students’ interest in STEM, no matter their background or initial expertise. With this funding, DSU will provide more opportunities for its diverse student body to explore academic pathways in technology, engineering, mathematics, and the sciences.

Not only will this funding bring these esteemed educators to the Dover-based institution, but it will also allow the HBCU to yield greater resources and opportunities to further students’ education. The grant’s principal investigator, Dr. Tina Mitchell, spoke about this funding’s alignment with Delaware State’s mission to produce the next generation of leaders in these fields.

“This award aligns with Delaware State University’s commitment to preparing STEM educators through experiential learning opportunities, a rich curriculum, and innovative teaching practices, as outlined in its strategic plan,” Dr. Mitchell said. “By providing scholarships to Noyce Scholars, we are not only investing in our future teachers, but we are also investing in the students and communities they will serve.”

Mitchell serves as the Associate Professor and Program Director of DSU’s Graduate Education Programs. Her co-Principal Investigators include professors from various science and math-based departments, including Dr. Robert Marsteller, the Assistant Professor of Education; Dr. Delayne Johnson, Associate Professor of Mathematics Education; and Dr. Erin Perchiniak, an Associate Professor of Biology.

This grant will help sustain another pipeline of STEM scholars from HBCUs. According to the UNCF, Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) account for 25% of Black college graduates who majored in STEM fields. However, Black employees in STEM fail to see representation in the workforce comparable to their white counterparts, with the 2024 Black Students and STEM Report finding that exposure gaps lead to this disproportionate employment.

Through this grant, DSU aims to combat these barriers with mentorships, scholarships, and hands-on opportunities that will lead to futures in STEM outside the classroom. Particularly, the Noyce Scholarship Program specifically addresses the lack of STEM careers by helping these graduates become K through 12 educators in the field.

“The program plays a pivotal role in addressing the nationwide shortage of STEM educators, particularly in opportunity-rich school districts, like our district partners for the grant, Early College School at DSU and Capital School District,” said Dr. Shelly Rouser, DSU Education Department Chair.

Now, Delaware State will also foster new partnerships with local grade schools in the Dover area to ensure that children of all ages are exposed to the growing careers in STEM.

Williams later took to Instagram to reassure his followers, “Preciate all the love! I’m all good,” he wrote. “Was in a horse accident last night, but I’m still pulling up tonight, injured and all,” he said, noting he intended to attend his brother’s birthday celebration despite his injuries.

Known for introducing himself as a cowboy and veterinary student on Love Island, Williams has celebrated his cowboy heritage.

Fellow castmates and friends rallied with messages of support. Love Island co-star Jaylen Brown read, “sending all my prayers and positive vibes,” to which Williams replied, “Preciate it dawg.”

Despite the severity of the fall, Williams’s recovery was seemingly swift. He was released from the hospital the following day and appeared at his brother’s birthday event.
