TMZ published photos of Diddy in conversation with other prisoners at the prison facility where he was transferred on Oct. 30. He is there to serve the 50-month prison term he was sentenced to on Oct. 3 by Judge Arun Subramanian after he was convicted in July on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution, under the Mann Act.
He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering charges (sex trafficking, operating a criminal enterprise).
In the photographs, Diddy is seen smiling and conversing with others while wearing a grey hat, sweatpants, and a top, with a Navy blue jacket and black sneakers. These are the first pics of Diddy in over a year, since he was incarcerated on those charges. The closest we’ve seen were drawings of the former Bad Boy label owner while attending court proceedings.
The entertainment mogul has been spending his time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since he was arrested in September 2024. His expected release date is May 28, 2028.
Attorneys for the “No Way Out” producer had requested that he be sent to the low-security federal correctional institution that houses fewer than 4,000 inmates. He is expected to take advantage of the facility’s drug treatment program and be closer to family.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the RDAP (Residential Drug Abuse Program) is the bureau’s most intensive drug treatment program and should be completed in nine months. Prisoners participating in the program reside in a separate unit from the general population. They are enrolled in half-day programs and join in half-day work, school, or vocational activities.
Recently, his attorneys filed a request with a federal appeals court to expedite his appeal of the two charges for which he was found guilty, ABC 7 NY reported. In the filing, they stated that, under a typical timeline, Diddy could complete his 50-month prison sentence before the appeal is heard.

When Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica on Oct. 28 as a Category 5 storm with winds reaching 185 mph (295 kph) — one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes on record — it caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including airports and key facilities. With airports closed, tourists were stranded and faced extended stays, as understaffed hotels charged as much as $500 per night for rooms that had been far cheaper before the storm, WRAL reported.
Halifax County couple Bridgette and Wayne Todd were among the tourists stranded on the island and were informed they’d need to pay $500 per night for their room until the Montego Bay Airport reopened.
“They have jobs here… We shouldn’t be allowed to stay for free. But it’s definitely going to get a little expensive for the next few days,” Todd said.
Travel agent Nita Cooper of Stars N Skye’s Travel Agency always advises her clients to buy travel insurance, noting that situations like Hurricane Melissa are precisely when it proves valuable.
“If they did have travel insurance, this would not be an issue,” Cooper said. “This is what it protects you from. In the event of any unforeseen circumstance, your insurance would kick in and cover whatever the additional cost would be.”

Trump Responds After Judge Issues Deadline For November SNAP Benefit Payments, ‘I Do Not Want Americans To Go Hungry’
Donald Trump says he is honored to see the court ruling prompt the release of November SNAP benefits.
Donald Trump has responded after a federal judge in Rhode Island ordered the USDA to move forward with releasing November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
On Oct. 31, U.S. District Court Judge John J. McConnell Jr. ordered the USDA to ensure November SNAP benefits are fully distributed by Nov. 3, or that partial payments are issued by Nov. 5, Newsweek reported. Shortly after the ruling, Trump voiced his support for releasing the benefits on Truth Social.
“I do not want Americans to go hungry,” Trump wrote. “[I] ask the Court to clarify how we can legally fund SNAP as soon as possible. If we are given the appropriate legal direction by the Court, it will BE MY HONOR to provide the funding.”
After Trump’s response, Judge McConnell added a footnote to the order recognizing the president’s role, praising his “quick and definitive response” in helping ensure timely SNAP benefit payments and describing his involvement as “greatly appreciated.”
“The court greatly appreciates the president’s quick and definitive response to this court’s order and his desire to provide the necessary SNAP funding,” U.S. District Court Judge John J. McConnell Jr. wrote in a court order on Nov. 1.
In his ruling, McConnell stated that the congressionally approved contingency funds “must be used now because of the shutdown.”
As of Nov. 1, the U.S. government had been shut down for 30 days, making it the second-longest in history after the 35-day 2018–2019 shutdown during Trump’s first presidency.
If the shutdown extends beyond the first week of November, it will become the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
The order references contingency funds from fiscal years 2024 and 2025, as well as Section 32 of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1935, as potential sources to guarantee SNAP payments. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has argued it lacks the legal authority and sufficient funds to provide full November benefits amid the ongoing partial government shutdown.
The agency also stated that even if contingency funds were available, they wouldn’t cover full payments, and implementing reduced benefits nationwide would be administratively difficult. Administration lawyers noted that $5.25 billion is currently available in the program’s contingency fund, while full November payments could require at least $8.5 billion.
Following the ruling, the USDA must submit a compliance plan to the court by noon on Nov. 3. If full payments are not made, partial payments must be issued by Nov. 5. The agency could face additional enforcement actions if it misses these deadlines.
Need A Year Of Free Rent? Atlanta Nonprofit Reopens Grant Program To Help Families Save Up
The grant program will cover rental payments for eligible families throughout 2026.
FreeRent, a rental assistance nonprofit in Atlanta, has returned for its third year of helping families stay in their homes.
FreeRent has brought back its grant program for renters to keep up with their monthly bills in this time of government cuts and layoffs. The nonprofit officially reopened its rental assistance initiative on Oct. 31, offering families the chance to receive fully-covered rental payments.
Typically, the nonprofit helps families stay afloat by offering one month or more of covered rent. However, this grant program goes the extra mile by providing a year’s worth of rent payments. Families will also receive resources and support to ensure they can remain on track towards financial stability.
The organization emphasized how more people are at risk of losing housing than they realize. FreeRent wants to offer opportunities to alleviate that heavy cost, helping families build generational wealth and thrive in the long-term.
“Just one thing can happen to get them behind [on rent] or on the brink of housing instability,” said Ashley Stewart, Executive Director of FreeRent, according to Saporta Report. “Through this opportunity, through this hand up for a year, we can help them not only stabilize, but build a path for their long-term financial future,” she added.
Eligible participants include those who have active leases within the city limits of Atlanta and have recently experienced a hardship, such as a family crisis or natural disaster. Their household income must also be at or below 80% of the area median income, and hold a rent-to-income ratio at or below 50% as well. Alongside one full-time working adult in the home and a commitment to the FreeRent financial education program, families could have their rent taken care of throughout 2026.
FreeRent has a goal for each of its grant participants to save at least three months of living expenses while covering their rent. A majority of families have reached that goal in past cycles, with one 2025 participant emphasizing the tremendous impact the grant had on her life.
“When they picked me to be one of the participants of the program, I couldn’t believe it. Just getting that type of break — everybody’s always waiting for some type of relief, and in this world it’s very few and far in-between,” said Dwantavia Edwards. “It was overwhelming for someone to even think of me in that way to say ‘hey, this girl needs a break, she needs help.’ And it’s not a handout, it was a hand up, because it’s changed my life tremendously.”
The nonprofit gets most of its funding from the community, raising $460,000 this August from its annual fundraiser. While expanding to other cities, its mainstay in Atlanta helps the area as it grapples with an affordable housing crisis. 11Alive reported data from the Atlanta Regional Commission that confirmed wages have yet to catch up with the rising costs of rents throughout the city.
However, FreeRent hopes to alleviate these issues, if just a little bit, for families hit the hardest by tough times. The nonprofit plans to help 300 families by 2030 as they continue their virtuous mission. People are encouraged to nominate someone they know who could greatly benefit from the program,

New Report Details Agenda To Erase, Distort, And Suppress Blackness
Titled, 'Blackout: The Real-World Cost of Erasing, Distorting, and Suppressing Black Progress,' the study defines three key types of institutional harm.
A new report issued by the nonprofit Onyx Impact offers a detailed examination of how the U.S. federal government may have contributed to the erosion of opportunities for Black Americans and to the history of Black Americans.
Titled, “Blackout: The Real-World Cost of Erasing, Distorting, and Suppressing Black Progress,” the study defines three key types of institutional harm: erasure, distortion, and suppression. Among its findings, there are more than 15,000 “impact points” in which Black progress was undermined. The report lists roughly 1,300 instances of erasure, including removed books, decremented records, and museum revisions.
Onyx Impact’s lead analyst, Esosa Osa, spoke to BlackPressUSA about the methodical way the current administration is executing its plan, both covertly and overtly.
“Bad actors target our stories and our data… What we’re seeing isn’t noise; it’s a coordinated effort to erase, distort, and suppress so the public can’t see the truth or measure the harm,” Osa said.”This report puts the receipts in one place so no one can pretend it isn’t happening. This is not a ‘culture war’—it’s a power grab that threatens the integrity of the record, the fairness of opportunity, and the health of our democracy.”
For many Black Americans, the report serves as validation, while the current administration contends their actions are merely patriotic; the report’s long list of incidents suggests a coordinated pattern. A pattern many Americans have been concerned about.
“When a ledger like this is opened, what it reveals matters for how we act moving forward,” said researcher Tamara Reese of the University of Maryland in the report.
The report is less about assigning blame than documenting patterns. Among the documented cases are federal websites that removed references to emancipation and museums that altered exhibits without public notice. Additionally, the ledger outlines contract programs that quietly decreased in historically Black communities. The result of the erasure, distortion, and suppression is a diluted visibility of Black achievement. Furthermore, these acts aid in diminishing institutional and historical memory of Black contributions.
While the report does not call for immediate legal action, it encourages educational institutions, nonprofits, and lawmakers to consider the impacts of erasure and distortion as part of long-term planning. Awareness leads to accountability.
Brandy And Monica’s ‘The Boy Is Mine Tour’ Sets Atlanta Ablaze

Thousands Line Up To Receive Free Food at Pastor Jamal Bryant’s Church As SNAP Funding Cuts Off

Thousands of people waited in line to receive free boxes of food from a famed Metro Atlanta Church as SNAP goes dark.
NewBirth Missionary Baptist Church, led by Pastor Dr. Jamal Bryant, hosted the free food drive Nov. 1, the day that SNAP officially ran out of funding due to the government shutdown. The church hopes to alleviate some food concerns for Metro Atlanta families as the assistance programs hits pause.
According to 11Alive, one woman sat in her car for 14 hours to make sure her family received the crucial box. The mother said that the shutdown added to a growing list of hardships she and her loved ones now face.
“We got here about 7:30 p.m.,” said Lasheika Carter to the news outlet. “With the government shutdown and hardships on a lot of families, we just have to do what we have to do to make sure we have what we need.”
Supported by hundreds of volunteers, over 2,000 families waited in line in the hopes of obtaining a box. Across the country, SNAP recipients are facing new challenges as the shutdown leaves them with limited options, especially as the government’s reopening remains stalled.
Other mothers like Carter used SNAP to ensure their families had meals in their homes. With SNAP funding in question , local initiatives like NewBirth’s have sprung up to pick up the slack and ensure children don’t go hungry.
“Why in the world do we have to sit here trying to get us some food for us to be able to eat,” added Kerry Ruffin, a veteran who served in the U.S. military for eight years. “At least some people care about other people, and the fact what these people are doing a great job being able to try and help people find something to eat.”
Ruffin relied on SNAP to help him navigate his fixed income since retiring from the armed forces. Now, he also waits in line to receive assistance as SNAP once supported 1 in 8 Americans, as reported by CNN.
Dr. Jamal Bryant also encouraged his congregation to come together and support those facing food insecurity. He used his platform to share resources for those relying on SNAP payments to purchase groceries.
Safe practices include meeting in public places, informing a friend of your whereabouts, avoiding inviting contacts into homes before trust is established, and being cautious when financial transactions are requested.
Dating apps like Grindr and Plenty Of Fish, sites typically used by gay men, are becoming platforms for crime. Two recent armed robberies tied to dating apps in Brooklyn, New York, and Atlanta are the newest incidents in gay men-targeting schemes.
On Oct. 23 in Brooklyn, a 47-year-old Flatbush resident arranged a meeting via a dating app at his East 21st Street apartment. He told police two masked men in all black forced their way into his home. The unnamed victim was then held at gunpoint and assaulted. Additionally, his assailants fled with valuables. The victim was hospitalized and remains in stable condition. No arrests have been made, Bronx News reported. Building residents expressed alarm at the building’s ongoing lack of security.
“From a safety perspective, I think that the building could be doing a lot more for us,” one tenant who asked to stay anonymous said. “We’ve reported issues with packages being stolen.”
In another online dating attack, Atlanta police arrested 26-year-old Randarrius Jackson after a man met him on a dating site called Mega Personal at The Renaissance Hotel near Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
According to the victim, Jackson displayed a firearm, forced the victim to send funds via Cash App and Apple Pay, and stole his debit card and PIN. Police say the victim lost over $5,000. Jackson now faces charges including armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to Fox 5.
The victim solicited hotel staff for help and was kept safely in the establishment’s kitchen until police arrived. Jackson was observed on hotel surveillance leaving the hotel and was subsequently caught and arrested in Lenox Square shortly thereafter.
These cases reflect a broader national trend of deception and violence emerging from digital platforms. According to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center, cyber-enabled crime losses exceeded $16.6 billion in 2024. The figure is a 33% increase over the previous year.
Law enforcement officials and consumer-safety experts urge those meeting online to treat any in-person meetup like a transaction.
